Chapter Sixty-Four (פֶּרֶק שִׁשִּׁים וְאַרְבָּעָה)
The ninth Tikkun of the Tikkunim of the beard of Ze’ir Anpin (תִּיקּוּן הַתְּשִׁיעִי שֶׁל תִּיקּוּנֵי דִּקְנָא דְז״א), is that the hairs are drawn downward in measure and balance (הוּא שֶׁנִּמְשָׁכִים הַשְּׂעָרוֹת לְמַטָּה בְּמִדָּה וּבְמִשְׁקָל), equally (בְּשָׁוֶה), so that no single hair will be longer than its fellow (שֶׁלֹּא יִהְיֶה נִימָא אֶחָד יוֹתֵר אָרוֹךְ מֵחֲבֵרוֹ), and the hairs are full, one upon another (וְהַשְּׂעָרוֹת מְלֵאִים זֶה עַל זֶה), and joined together (וּמִתְחַבְּרִים), and there is no separation between them (וְאֵין פֵּירוּד בֵּינֵיהֶם), until they hang below the chin (עַד שֶׁתּוֹלִים לְמַטָּה מִן הַסַּנְטֵר), down to the place where the intestines begin, as it were (עַד מְקוֹם שֶׁמַּתְחִילִים הַבְּנֵי מֵעַיִם כִּבְיָכוֹל). And they do not hang down to the navel of the heart as does the beard of Arich Anpin (וְאֵינָם תּוֹלִים עַד טַבּוּרָא דְלִבָּא כְּמוֹ דִּיקְנָא דַאֲ״א), and this Tikkun is made from the Tiferet of Atika (וְזֶה הַתִּיקּוּן נַעֲשֶׂה מִתִּפְאֶרֶת שֶׁל עַתִּיקָא), from its navel (הוּא מִטַּבּוּרוֹ), through the enclothing of the Tiferet of Abba and Imma (עַל יְדֵי הִתְלַבְּשׁוּת תִּפְאֶרֶת דְאַבָּא וְאִמָּא), for from there is the beginning of Ze’ir Anpin, as I have written (כִּי מִשָּׁם הַתְחָלַת זְעֵיר אַנְפִּין כַּאֲשֶׁר כָּתַבְתִּי). Therefore it says concerning the Tikkunim of the beard of Ze’ir Anpin (לָכֵן אוֹמֵר בְּתִיקּוּנֵי דִיקְנָא דְז״א): “The ninth Tikkun: that the hairs are drawn in balanced measure, full, until those hairs which all hang in beautiful balance” (תִּיקּוּנָא תְשִׁיעָאָה, דְּאִתְמְשְׁכִין שַׂעֲרֵי בְּשִׁיקּוּלָא מָלֵא עַד אִינוּן שַׂעֲרֵי דְּתַלְיָין כֻּלְּהוּ בְּשִׁיקּוּלָא שַׁפִּיר), and these are the hairs of the lower lip (וְהֵם הַשְּׂעָרוֹת שֶׁל הַשָּׂפָה הַתַּחְתּוֹנָה). And it extends from there (וְנִמְשָׁךְ מִשָּׁם), to those hairs hanging from the chin and below (עַד אוֹתָן הַשְּׂעָרוֹת הַתּוֹלִים מִן הַסַּנְטֵר וּלְמַטָּה), and they join together (וּמִתְחַבְּרִים), and the whole is called one Tikkun [Rectification] (וְנִקְרָא הַכֹּל תִּיקּוּן אֶחָד), and it appears in beauty (וְנִרְאֶה בְּיוֹפִי), “like one mighty man, master of victories in battle” (כְּחַד גִּבַּר תַּקִּיף מָארֵי נִצְחַן קְרָבַיָּא), “because all are drawn after those hanging hairs” (מִשּׁוּם דְּכֻלְּהוּ אִתְמְשְׁכוּן בָּתַר אִינוּן שַׂעֲרֵי דְּתַלְיָין), “and the totality of all is in those that hang” (וּכְלָלָא דְכֻלְּהוּ בְּאִינוּן דְּתַלְיָין), “and all is drawn downward” (וְכֹלָא אִתְמְשַׁךְ לְמַטָּה), “and concerning this it is written: ‘The glory of young men is their strength’” (וְעַל דָּא כְּתִיב תִּפְאֶרֶת בַּחוּרִים כֹּחָם) (Proverbs 20:29), “and He appeared upon the sea as a handsome young man” (וְנִרְאֶה עַל הַיָּם כְּבָחוּר טוֹב), “as it is written: ‘A young man like the cedars’” (דִּכְתִיב בָּחוּר כַּאֲרָזִים) (Song of Songs 5:15), from the cedars of Lebanon (מֵאַרְזֵי הַלְּבָנוֹן), “like a mighty warrior performing mighty deeds” (כְּגִבּוֹר עָבִיד גִּבּוֹרָאן), “and this is the beauty of strength, might, and mercy” (וְדָא הוּא תִּפְאֶרֶת חֵילָא וּגְבוּרְתָא וְרַחֲמֵי) (until here, Zohar Bamidbar 141b) (עַד כָּאן זוֹהַר בַּמִּדְבָּר קמ״א ב). Bachur [young man] is the numerical value of RY”V [216] (בָּחוּר הוּא רי״ו), the letters within the Name A”B [72] (אוֹתִיּוֹת שֶׁבְּשֵׁם ע״ב), which were aroused at the sea (שֶׁנִּתְעוֹרֵר עַל הַיָּם), and in the future it shall be said: “As in the days of your going forth from the land of Egypt, I shall show him wonders” (וּלְעָתִיד נֶאֱמַר כִּימֵי צֵאתְךָ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם אַרְאֶנּוּ נִפְלָאוֹת) (Micah 7:15). Blessed is Hashem forever, Amen and Amen (יִתְבָּרַךְ י״י לְעוֹלָם אָמֵן וְאָמֵן).
