Chapter Eighteen (פֶּרֶק שְׁמוֹנָה עָשָׂר)

You must know (צָרִיךְ אַתָּה לָדַעַת), that in Abba there is the Name Havayah filled with Yudin (כִּי יֵשׁ בְּאַבָּא שֵׁם הֲוָיָה בְּמִלּוּי יוּדִי״ן), thus (כָּזֶה): Yud-Heh-Vav-Heh (יו״ד ה״י וי״ו ה״י), for the four principal fillings (כִּי אַרְבָּעָה מִלּוּאִים רָאשֵׁי הָרָאשִׁים), emerge from the Name Havayah (הֵם יוֹצְאִים מִשֵּׁם הֲוָיָה), Ayin-Bet in Abba (ע״ב בְּאַבָּא), Samekh-Gimel in Imma (ס״ג בְּאִמָּא), Mem-Heh in Ze’ir (מ״ה בִּזְעֵיר), and Ben in his Nukvah (ב״ן בְּנוּקְבֵיהּ). And in Abba it is the Name Ayin-Bet through Yudin (וּבְאַבָּא הוּא שֵׁם ע״ב בְּיוּדִין), in this manner (בְּאֹפֶן זֶה), in his head, namely upon his forehead (בְּרֹאשׁוֹ הַיְינוּ בְּמִצְחוֹ), is the Yud in its filling (יֵשׁ הַיו״ד בְּמִלּוּאָהּ), and the first Heh in its filling is on his right side (וְהַה״י רִאשׁוֹנָה בְּמִלּוּאָהּ בְּצַד יְמִינוֹ), and the final Heh in its filling is on his left side (וְהַה״י הָאַחֲרוֹנָה בְּמִלּוּאָהּ בִּשְׂמֹאלוֹ), and the Vav in its filling (וְהַוי״ו בְּמִלּוּאָהּ), is in his middle (בְּאֶמְצָעִיתוֹ). And this is alluded to in the Zohar (וְנִרְמַז זֶה בְּסֵפֶר הַזֹּהַר), when it says (בְּאוֹמְרוֹ): “The Yud is the mouth of the sword, the two Hehs are the two edges, and the Vav is the body of the sword” (יו״ד פּוּמָא דְחַרְבָּא, תְּרֵין הֵהִי״ן שְׁתֵּי פִיּוֹת, וא״ו גּוּפָא דְחַרְבָּא). And the matter is (וְהָעִנְיָן הוּא), that Ze’ir receives an influx called a sword from Abba (כִּי זְעֵיר מַשִּׂיג שֶׁפַע הַנִּקְרָא חֶרֶב מֵאַבָּא), and this sword is the sword that avenges the covenant (וְהוּא הַחֶרֶב נוֹקֶמֶת נְקַם בְּרִית), to drive away the judgments and the Klipot from his vessels (לְגָרֵשׁ הַדִּינִים וְהַקְּלִיפּוֹת מֵהַכֵּלִים שֶׁלּוֹ), and it also builds him from his filling of Ayin-Bet (וְגַם הוּא בּוֹנֶה אוֹתוֹ מִמִּלּוּי ע״ב שֶׁלּוֹ), as I shall explain with the help of Atik Yomin (כַּאֲשֶׁר אֲבָאֵר בְּעֶזְרַת עַתִּיק יוֹמַיָּיא).
