Chapter One Hundred Twenty-Seven (פֶּרֶק מֵאָה עֶשְׂרִים וְשִׁבְעָה)
And let us return to the matter of Ze’ir Anpin and its Nukvah (וְנַחֲזוֹר לְעִנְיַן זְעֵיר וְנוּקְבֵיהּ), to the secret of the Tzelem [spiritual image], which is the secret of its Mochin (לְסוֹד הַצֶּלֶם שֶׁהֵם סוֹד מוֹחִין דִּילֵיהּ), and you must know (וְצָרִיךְ אַתָּה לָדַעַת), that just as above Ze’ir Anpin there is the Supernal Binah, namely Tevunah (כִּי כְּמוֹ שֶׁיֵּשׁ לְמַעְלָה מִזּ״א בִּינָה עֶלְיוֹנָה דְּהַיְנוּ תְּבוּנָה), from which emerge the Lamed and Mem, the secret of the Tzelem that we mentioned (שֶׁיּוֹצְאִין מִמֶּנָּה לָמֶ״ד מֵ״ם סוֹד הַצֶּלֶם שֶׁזָּכַרְנוּ), from which the Tzadi of Tzelem is formed (אֲשֶׁר מֵהֶם נַעֲשִׂים הַצַּדִּ״ק שֶׁל צֶלֶ״ם), which are the nine Sefirot of Ze’ir Anpin (שֶׁהֵם ט׳ סְפִירוֹת ז״א), and also its nine Tikkunei Dikna [rectifications of the beard] (וְגַם תֵּשַׁע תִּקּוּנֵי דִיקְנָא דִּילֵיהּ), so too there is the aspect of the Lamed and Mem from Abba, namely Yisrael Saba (כָּךְ יֵשׁ בְּחִינַת לָמֶ״ד מֵ״ם מֵאַבָּא דְּהַיְנוּ יִשְׂרָאֵל סָבָא), and they are included within Imma (וְנִכְלָלִים בְּאִמָּא), as I explained to you in its place (כְּמוֹ שֶׁבֵּאַרְתִּי לְךָ בִּמְקוֹמוֹ).
For in every place where the Kelim [vessels] of Imma go (שֶׁבְּכָל מָקוֹם שֶׁהוֹלְכִים כְּלֵי אִמָּא), the Kelim [vessels] of Abba are always included within them (תָּמִיד כְּלֵי אַבָּא נִכְלָלִים בְּתוֹכָם), and just as we said above (וּכְשֵׁם שֶׁאָמַרְנוּ לְמַעְלָה), that the Lamed and Mem which are above Ze’ir Anpin (שֶׁהַלָּמֶ״ד מֵ״ם שֶׁיֵּשׁ לְמַעְלָה מִזּ״א), where the Mem is the secret of Chokhmah and Binah (שֶׁהַמֵּ״ם הִיא סוֹד חָכְמָה וּבִינָה), and two Mochin become vested (וּשְׁנֵי מוֹחִין מִתְלַבְּשִׁין): Chokhmah in Netzach (חָכְמָה בְּנֵצַח), Binah in Hod (בִּינָה בְּהוֹד), and the two Atarin [crowns] in Yesod (וּב׳ עֲטָרִין בִּיסוֹד), all of these are from Imma (כָּל אֵלּוּ מֵאִמָּא), in order that Ze’ir Anpin may be able to bear them (כְּדֵי שֶׁיּוּכַל לִסְבְּלָם ז״א). It follows (וְנִמְצָא), that the Mem becomes vested within the Lamed (שֶׁמִּתְלַבֶּשֶׁת הַמֵּ״ם בַּלָּמֶ״ד), so too the Lamed and Mem of Abba (כָּךְ הַלָּמֶ״ד מֵ״ם שֶׁל אַבָּא), the Mem becomes vested within the Lamed (מִתְלַבֵּשׁ הַמֵּ״ם בַּלָּמֶ״ד), in order that Imma may be able to bear them (כְּדֵי שֶׁתּוּכַל אִמָּא לִסְבְּלָם), so that she may give that illumination to Ze’ir Anpin (כְּדֵי לִתֵּן אוֹתָהּ הַהֶאָרָה לְז״א). And it is in this manner (וְהוּא בְּזֶה הָאֹפֶן): the Chokhmah, Binah, Gedulah [Greatness], and Gevurah [Strength] of Abba itself (חָכְמָה וּבִינָה גְּדוּלָּה גְּבוּרָה שֶׁל אַבָּא עַצְמוֹ), become vested within its Netzach, Hod, and Yesod (מִתְלַבְּשִׁים בְּנֵצַח הוֹד יְסוֹד שֶׁלּוֹ), and this is the secret of the Mem (וְזֶהוּ סוֹד הַמֵּ״ם), meaning (פֵּירוּשׁ), four Middot, each one of them included of ten, behold they are forty (ד׳ מִדּוֹת כָּל אַחַת מֵהֶם כְּלוּלָה מֵעֶשֶׂר הֲרֵי מֵ״ם), become vested within Netzach, Hod, and Yesod (מִתְלַבְּשִׁים בְּנה״י), each one included of ten, behold they are thirty (כָּל אַחַת כְּלוּלָה מִי׳ הֲרֵי לָמֶ״ד), and the Netzach, Hod, and Yesod of Abba are included within the Netzach, Hod, and Yesod of Imma in the secret of the Zivug [union] (וְנה״י שֶׁל אַבָּא נִכְלָלִים בְּנה״י שֶׁל אִמָּא בְּסוֹד הַזִּוּוּג). And know (וְדַע), that the illumination of the drop, when it descends from Abba (שֶׁהֶאָרַת הַטִּפָּה כְּשֶׁיּוֹרֶדֶת מֵאַבָּא), passes through its five channels until it reaches the Yesod (עוֹבֶרֶת מֵה׳ צִנּוֹרוֹת שֶׁלּוֹ עַד שֶׁמַּגִּיעַ לִיסוֹד), which are: Gedulah, Gevurah, Tiferet, Netzach, and Hod (שֶׁהֵם גְּדוּלָּה גְּבוּרָה תּ״ת נֵצַח הוֹד), and therefore the drop of Abba includes five Chesadim (וְלָכֵן כּוֹלֶלֶת הַטִּפָּה שֶׁל אַבָּא ה׳ חֲסָדִים), and the drop of Imma likewise passes through her five channels (וְהַטִּפָּה שֶׁל אִמָּא גַּם הִיא עוֹבֶרֶת דֶּרֶךְ ה׳ צִנּוֹרוֹת שֶׁלָּהּ), and includes five Gevurot (וְכוֹלֶלֶת ה׳ גְּבוּרוֹת). And even though the drop of Abba passes through its left channels, namely Gevurah (וְאַף עַל פִּי שֶׁעוֹבֶרֶת הַטִּפָּה שֶׁל אַבָּא דֶּרֶךְ צִנּוֹרֵי הַשְּׂמֹאל שֶׁלּוֹ גְּבוּרָה), nevertheless they are called only Chesadim (אֲפִלּוּ הָכִי לֹא נִקְרְאוּ אֶלָּא חֲסָדִים), and even though the drop of Imma passes through her right channels, namely Gedulah and Netzach (וְאַף עַל פִּי שֶׁעוֹבֶרֶת הַטִּפָּה שֶׁל אִמָּא דֶּרֶךְ צִנּוֹרֵי הַיָּמִין שֶׁלָּהּ גְּדוּלָּה נֵצַח), the illumination of her drop is called only five Gevurot (לֹא נִקְרֵאת הֶאָרַת טִפָּתָהּ אֶלָּא ה׳ גְּבוּרוֹת).
