Chapter Sixty-Seven (פֶּרֶק שִׁשִּׁים וְשִׁבְעָה)
However (אָמְנָם), the order of Rashi and Rabbeinu Tam (סֵדֶר רַשִׁ״י וְרַבֵּינוּ תָּם), alludes to the state of these four levels mentioned above (רוֹמֵז אֶל מַצַב הַד' מַדְרֵגוֹת הָאֵלּוּ הַנִּזְכָּרִים), after the upper Mazal and lower Mazal received from one another as mentioned above (אַחַר שֶׁמַּזָּל עֶלְיוֹן וּמַזָּל תַּחְתּוֹן קִבְּלוּ זֶה מִזֶּה כַּנִּזְכָּר לְעֵיל), after the Chesed of Reisha Dela Ityada [the Unknowable Head] (אַחֲרֵי שֶׁחֶסֶד דְּלָא אִתְיְדַע), gave to the Yesod of Reisha Dela Ityada [the Unknowable Head] (נָתְנָה לִיסוֹד דְּלָא אִתְיְדַע), the Nekudah [Point] of Chokhmah (נְקוּדַת חָכְמָה), and the Five Chasadim (וְה' חֲסָדִים), which Abba and Imma received (שֶׁקִבְּלוּ אַבָּא וְאִמָּא). And the Yesod gave to the Chesed within it (וִיסוֹד נָתַן לַחֶסֶד שֶׁבּוֹ), Chokhmah (חָכְמָה), through its sparkling forth (בְּהִתְנוֹצְצוּתָהּ), the Nekudah [Point] of Binah and its Five Gevurot (נְקוּדַת בִּינָה וְה' גְּבוּרוֹת שֶׁלָּהּ), because then in that state (לְפִי שֶׁאָז בַּמַּצָּב הַהוּא), the Nekudah [Point] of Chokhmah was in the Yesod (הָיָה נְקוּדַת חָכְמָה בִּיסוֹד), for Chokhmah is the Parashat Kadesh (שֶׁחָכְמָה הִיא פָּרָשַׁת קַדֵּשׁ), and the Yesod is the left side (וִיסוֹד הוּא צַד שְׂמֹאל). As is known (כַּנּוֹדָע), that it is one of the Five Gevurot (שֶׁהוּא אֶחָד מִן הַה' גְּבוּרוֹת), therefore Rashi and Rabbeinu Tam hold (עַל כֵּן סָבְרִי רַשִׁ״י וְרַבֵּינוּ תָּם), that one must begin the order of the Parshiyot from the left side (שֶׁצָּרִיךְ לְהַתְחִיל סֵדֶר הַפָּרָשִׁיּוֹת מִצַּד שְׂמֹאל), which is the Parashat Kadesh (שֶׁהִיא פָּרָשַׁת קַדֵּשׁ). And the reason for the dispute between Shimusha Rabba and the Ra’avad (וְטַעַם מַחֲלֹקֶת שֶׁבֵּין שִׁמּוּשָׁא רַבָּא וְהָרַאֲבַ״ד), is the very same reason as that of Rashi and Rabbeinu Tam (הוּא הַטַּעַם עַצְמוֹ שֶׁל רַשִׁ״י וְשֶׁל רַבֵּינוּ תָּם), for the Ba’al Shimusha Rabba holds like Rashi (כִּי בַּעַל שִׁמּוּשָׁא רַבָּא סוֹבֵר כְּרַשִׁ״י), regarding the order of the Parshiyot (בְּעִנְיַן סֵדֶר הַפָּרָשִׁיּוֹת), for the reason of Rashi (מִטַּעְמֵיהּ דְּרַשִׁ״י), as mentioned above (כַּנִּזְכָּר לְעֵיל), and the Ra’avad holds like Rabbeinu Tam (וְהָרַאֲבַ״ד סוֹבֵר כְּרַבֵּינוּ תָּם), regarding that the Havayot must be adjacent to one another (בְּעִנְיַן שֶׁצָּרִיךְ שֶׁיִּהְיוּ הֲוָיוֹת סְמוּכוֹת לַהֲדָדִי), for the reason of Rabbeinu Tam mentioned above (מִטַּעְמֵיהּ דְּרַבֵּינוּ תָּם הַנִּזְכָּר לְעֵיל).
