Chapter Twenty-Seven (פֶּרֶק עֶשְׂרִים וְשִׁבְעָה)

The secret of the verse, “Eat, companions” (סוֹד פָּסוּק אִכְלוּ רֵעִים) (Song of Songs 5:1): You already know that they are the three hundred and twenty judgments (כְּבָר יָדַעְתָּ כִּי ש״ך דִּינִים הֵם), and their root is from the thirty-two Paths of Chokhmah (וְשָׁרְשָׁם מִל״ב נְתִיבוֹת חָכְמָה), each one included of ten (כָּל אֶחָד כְּלוּלָה מֵעֶשֶׂר), behold, there are three hundred and twenty (הֲרֵי ש״ך). And when the one ascending is worthy to ascend above (וּכְשֶׁהָעוֹלֶה זַכַּאי לַעֲלוֹת לְמַעְלָה), in the secret of the union of his Neshamah through the union of its root (בְּסוֹד זִוּוּג נִשְׁמָתוֹ עַל יְדֵי זִוּוּג שָׁרְשׁוֹ), which are Abba and Imma, who are called “companions” (שֶׁהֵם אַבָּא וְאִמָּא הַנִּקְרָאִים רֵעִים), as is known (כַּנּוֹדָע). And this is the secret of “Eat, companions” (וְזֶהוּ סוֹד אִכְלוּ רֵעִים), for through their union, which is called by the expression of eating (כִּי עַל יְדֵי זִוּוּגָם הַנִּקְרָא בִּלְשׁוֹן אֲכִילָה), in the secret of the expression of union, which is called “she has eaten and wiped her mouth” (בְּסוֹד לְשׁוֹן זִוּוּג הַנִּקְרָא אָכְלָה וּמָחֲתָה פִיהָ) (Proverbs 30:20), then all the three hundred and twenty judgments (וְאָז כָּל הַש״ך דִּינִין), which are also numerically equal to “companions” (שֶׁהֵם גַּם כֵּן בְּגִימַטְרִיָּא רֵעִים), are sweetened through their root (נִמְתָּקִים עַל יְדֵי שָׁרְשָׁם), and they do not descend in their bitterness (וְאֵינָם יוֹרְדִים בִּמְרִירוּתָם), but rather all becomes simple mercy (אֶלָּא הַכֹּל רַחֲמִים פְּשׁוּטִים).
