Chapter 30, Section 1 (פֶּרֶק ל׳ אוֹת א׳)

1. To establish yeshivot in My gates (א. לְהוֹשִׁיב יְשִׁיבוֹת בִּשְׁעָרָי), to derive from them the prohibited and the permitted (לְפָרֵשׁ מֵהֶם אִיסּוּר וְהֶיתֵּר), to render impure therein the impure and to purify therein the pure (לְטַמֵּא בָהֶן אֶת הַטָּמֵא וּלְטַהֵר בָּהֶן אֶת הַטָּהוֹר), to validate therein the valid and to invalidate therein the invalid (לְהַכְשִׁיר בָּהֶן אֶת הַכָּשֵׁר וּלְפָסוֹל בָּהֶן אֶת הַפָּסוּל), to recognize therein the living (לְהַכִּיר בָּהֶן אֶת הַחַיִּים), to instruct regarding excommunication (לְהוֹרוֹת לְנַדּוֹת), what they shall do (מַה יַּעֲשׂוּ), to bind crowns upon your heads (לִקְשׁוֹר קְשָׁרִים בְּרָאשֵׁיכֶם), and royal diadems (וַעֲטָרוֹת מַלְכוּת), to compel kings to bow before you (לָכוֹף מְלָכִים לְהִשְׁתַּחֲווֹת לָכֶם), and to refine princes to prostrate themselves before you (וּלְזַקֵּק רוֹזְנִים לְהִשְׁתַּטֵּחַ לִפְנֵיכֶם), to spread your name in every dome (לְהַפְקִיעַ שִׁמְכֶם בְּכָל כִּיפָּה), and your remembrance in the coastal cities (וְזִכְרְכֶם בְּכַרְכֵי הַיָּם), to make your faces shine like the rising of the day (לְהָאִיר פְּנֵיכֶם כִּזְרִיחַ הַיּוֹם), and between your eyes like the morning star (וּבֵין עֵינֵיכֶם כַּכּוֹכָב הַנּוֹגֵהַּ). And if you merit this seal (וְאִם תִּזְכּוּ לַחֹתָם זֶה), to make use of the crown (לְהִשְׁתַּמֵּשׁ בַּכֶּתֶר), there shall be no ignoramus among you (עַם הָאָרֶץ לֹא יִהְיֶה בָּכֶם), and no fool or dullard shall be found among you (וּכְסִיל וּטִפֵּשׁ לֹא יִמָּצֵא בָּכֶם).
