The command after this is to judge concerning one who devotes his property to the Kohen (פִּקּוּדָא בָּתַר דָּא, לָדוּן בְּמַחֲרִים נְכָסָיו לַכֹּהֵן), as it is written: “Every devoted thing in Yisrael shall be yours” (הֲדָא הוּא דִכְתִיב: כָּל חֶרֶם בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל לְךָ יִהְיֶה) (Numbers 18). And this is the secret - “Every firstborn of the womb of all flesh which they bring to Hashem, both of man and of beast” (וְרָזָא דָּא [בָּאָדָם וּבַבְּהֵמָה]: כָּל פֶּטֶר רֶחֶם לְכָל בָּשָׂר אֲשֶׁר יַקְרִיבוּ לַיְיָ בָּאָדָם וּבַבְּהֵמָה).

Rechem (רֶחֶם), by reversal of the letters, corresponds to the numerical value of the 248 limbs of man (רֶחֶם: בְּהִיפוּךְ אַתְוָון כְּחוּשְׁבַּן רמ״ח אֵבָרִים דְּבַּר נָשׁ). About them it is said: “In wrath, remember mercy” (עָלַיְיהוּ אִתְּמַר: בְּרֹגֶז רַחֵם תִּזְכּוֹר) (Habakkuk 3). After a man becomes angry, and devotes that which is within him toward that side (בָּתַר דְּכָעִיס בַּר נָשׁ, וּמַחֲרִים הַהוּא בְּעִירָא לְגַבֵּיהּ), behold, another god, the serpent, rests there (הָא שַׁרְיָא אֵל אַחֵר נָחָשׁ), of which it is said: “Cursed are you above all beasts” (דְּאִתְּמַר בֵּיהּ: אָרוּר אַתָּה מִכָּל הַבְּהֵמָה) (Bereshit 3), and it is to the left of man

Therefore Kudsha Berikh Hu appointed it to be given to the Kohen (בְּגִין דָּא מָנֵי קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא, לְמֵיהַב לְכַהֲנָא), who is mercy and blessing (דְּאִיהוּ רַחֲמֵי בְּרָכָה), to subdue the wrath that was aroused in that man - the poison, the sword of the Angel of Death (לְאִתְכַּפְיָיא רֹגֶז, דְּאִתְּעַר בְּהַהוּא בַּר נָשׁ מָרָה, חַרְבָּא דְּמַלְאָךְ הַמָּוְת). And the right is aroused to him in mercy (וְאִתְּעַר יְמִינָא לְגַבֵּיהּ בְּרַחֲמֵי), and the wrath of the left is subdued (וְאִתְכַּפְיָיא רוּגְזָא דִּשְׂמָאלָא). And this is: “In wrath, remember mercy” (וְהַאי אִיהוּ: בְּרֹגֶז רַחֵם תִּזְכּוֹר).

One who angers - in his anger there is the poison of death About him the masters of the Mishnah have established: “Whoever becomes angry is as though he worships idolatry” (דְּעָלֵיהּ אוּקְמוּהָ מָארֵי מַתְנִיתִין: כָּל הַכּוֹעֵס כְּאִילּוּ עוֹבֵד עֲבוֹדָה זָרָה). Because the Sitra achra is ignited within the man And in that which is given to the Kohen, the cherem is separated from him (וּבְהַהִיא בְּעִירָא דְּיָהִיב לְכַהֲנָא אִתְפְּרַשׁ חֵרֶם מִנֵּיהּ), and Samael is another god, the cherem (וְסָמָאֵל אֵל אַחֵר חֵרֶם), and his Nukvah is the curse, which is inclusive of all the curses in the Mishneh Torah (וְנוּקְבָּא דִּילֵיהּ קְלָלָה, כְּלוּלָה מִכֹּל קְלָלוֹת שְׁבַּמִשְׁנֶה תּוֹרָה). But Kudsha Berikh Hu is blessed in the entire Orayta (וְקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא, בָּרִיךְ בְּכָל אוֹרַיְּיתָא כֹּלָא), and all blessings are from the right (וְכָל בִּרְכָאן מִימִינָא), which the Kohen holds (דְּאָחִיד בָּהּ כֹּהֵן). And therefore, every cherem must be given to the Kohen (וּבְגִין דָּא כָּל חֵרֶם צָרִיךְ לְמֵיהַב לֵיהּ לְכַהֲנָא), who consumes it in fire (דְּאִיהוּ אָכִיל לֵיהּ בְּנוּרָא), and removes it from the world (וְשֵׁצֵי לֵיהּ מֵעָלְמָא), and extinguishes the fire of the left with the right, which is water (וְשָׁכִיךְ אֶשָּׁא מִשְּׂמָאלָא בִּימִינָא, דְּאִיהוּ מַיָּיא). And of this it is said: “And the king’s wrath abated” (וּבֵיהּ: וַחֲמַת הַמֶּלֶךְ שָׁכָכָה) (Esther 7).

The commandment following this: to separate the Great Offering (Hafrish Terumah Gedolah) And it has been established: two of a hundred What is Terumah? The Rabbis of the Academy taught: this Terumah that must be separated as two of a hundred - in the secrets of Torah, what is it? Whoever desires to taste, if he is a stranger, shall die - and this is the foreign god, Samael For Kudsha Berikh Hu said: “And they shall take for Me a Terumah” (דְקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא אָמַר: וְיִקְחוּ לִי תְּרוּמָה) (Exodus 28) - two of a hundred (תְּרֵי מִמְּאָה). To unify Him two times daily (לְיַחֲדָא לֵיהּ תְּרֵין זִמְנִין בְּיוֹמָא) - that is, two of a hundred (דְּהַיְינוּ תְּרֵי מִמְּאָה) - in the forty-nine letters of “Shema Yisrael… Barukh Shem Kevod Malkhuto leOlam Va’ed” of the evening prayer (בְּמ״ט אַתְוָון דִּשְׁמַע וּבָרוּךְ שֵׁם כְּבוֹד מַלְכוּתוֹ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד דְּעַרְבִית), and in the forty-nine letters of the morning prayer (וּבְמ״ט אַתְוָון דְּשַׁחְרִית). Lacking two of a hundred - these are the Shekhinta above and below In both of them, it is necessary to unite with Kudsha Berikh Hu (בְּתַרְוַויְיהוּ צָרִיךְ לְיַחֲדָא לְּקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא), the cubit of both (אַמָּה דְּתַרְוַויְיהוּ).

The measure of both (מִדָּה דְּתַרְוַויְיהוּ). A hundred by a cubit (מֵאָה בָּאַמָּה). Ammah (אַמָּ״ה), by its letters, is Me’ah (100) (מֵאָ״ה), and by reversal of the letters, it is Em (הַאֵ״ם). And further it is written: “And it shall be, when you eat of the bread of the land, you shall offer up a Terumah to Hashem” (וְעוֹד: וְהָיָה בַּאֲכָלְכֶם מִלֶּחֶם הָאָרֶץ תָּרִימוּ תְּרוּמָה לַיְיָ) (Numbers 15). “You shall offer up” (תָּרִימוּ) - like that which is written: “He lifted up his hands” (כְּגוֹן: רוּם יָדֵיהוּ נָשָׂא) (Habakkuk 3). And these are the ten fingers (וְאִינּוּן עֶשֶׂר אֶצְבְּעָן), which ascend to the ten Sefirot (דִּסְלִיקוּ דִלְהוֹן לְעֶשֶׂר סְפִירָן), which are Yod–He–Vav–He (דְּאִינּוּן יוֹ״ד הֵ״א וָא״ו הֵ״א), that ascend from (M”H) (דִּסְלִיקוּ מ״ה). And in the letters of the Alef-Beit, M”H rises to Me’ah (100) (וּבְאַתְוָון דְּאַלְפָא בֵּיתָא, מָ״ה סְלִיק מֵאָ״ה), Yod–Mem, He–Tzadi (י״ם ה״צ).

And this is what the Rabbis, masters of the Mishnah, have established (וְהַאי אִיהוּ דְּאוּקְמוּהָ רַבָּנָן מָארֵי מַתְנִיתִין): “And now, Yisrael, what does Hashem your Elohim ask of you” (וְעַתָּה יִשְׂרָאֵל מָ״ה יְיָ אֱלֹהֶיךָ שׁוֹאֵל מֵעִמָּךְ) (Deuteronomy 10). And they said: Do not read M”H, but Me’ah (100) (וְאָמְרוּ: אַל תִּקְרֵי מָ״ה, אֶלָּא מֵאָה), corresponding to the hundred blessings which a man is obligated to bless his Master every day (לָקֳבֵל מֵאָה בִּרְכָאן דִּמְחֻיָּיב בַּר נָשׁ לְבָרְכָא לְמָארֵיהּ בְּכָל יוֹמָא). And this is that a man needs to taste from his Master every day And because of this: “And they shall take for Me a Terumah” (וּבְגִין דָּא: וְיִקְחוּ לִי תְּרוּמָה). And how many Terumot there are - there is Terumah from the Orayta (וְכַמָּה תְּרוּמוֹת אִינּוּן, אִית תְּרוּמָה מִדְּאוֹרַיְּיתָא), Torah, forty (תוֹרָה מ׳). And this is the Terumah, the Torah that was given in forty days And if you say that we ate from it (וְאִי תֵּימְרוּן דְּאָכִילְנָא מִנָּהּ; נ״א: מִנָּא), behold it is written: “And Moshe was on the mountain forty days and forty nights; bread he did not eat, and water he did not drink” (הָא כְּתִיב: וַיְהִי מֹשֶׁה בָּהָר אַרְבָּעִים יוֹם וְאַרְבָּעִים לַיְלָה לֶחֶם לֹא אָכַל וּמַיִם לֹא שָׁתָה) (Exodus 34). Guarded until now is this Terumah for Kudsha Berikh Hu And since the King did not eat, how should the servants eat? For after He said: “I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey” (דְּהָא לְבָתַר דְּאָמַר: אָרִיתִי מוֹרִי עִם בְּשָׂמִי) (Song of Songs 5), afterward “Eat, O friends” (לְבָתַר: אִכְלוּ רֵעִים), His servants may eat (יֵיכְלוּן עַבְדּוֹי).

The command after this is to separate Ma‘aser for the Levi And this is the Shekhinta from the side of the right, which is Chesed Terumah Gedolah is for the Kohen (תְּרוּמָה גְּדוֹלָה לַכֹּהֵן), from the side of the left, which is Gevurah (מִסִּטְרָא דִּשְׂמָאלָא דְּאִיהוּ גְּבוּרָה). Terumat Ma‘aser is for the Levi, which is Shekhinta

Yod–Heh–Vav–Heh - three tenths for the bull (יוֹ״ד הֵ״א וָא״ו הֵ״א, שְׁלֹשֶׁת עֶשְׂרוֹנִים לַפָּר), from the side of that which is said of it: “And the face of an ox on the left side” (מִסִּטְרָא דְּהַהוּא דְּאִתְּמַר בֵּיהּ: וּפְנֵי שׁוֹר מֵהַשְּׂמֹאל) (Ezekiel 1), and this is Gevurah (וְדָא גְּבוּרָה). And a tenth for the lamb (וְעִשָּׂרוֹן לַכֶּבֶשׂ), And this is Yod–Heh–Vav–Heh; (Some say: Yod–Heh–Yod, Vav–Heh–Yod (וְדָא יוֹ״ד הֵ״א וָא״ו הֵ״א; (נ״א: יו״ד ה״י וא״ו ה״י), that ascends to ten letters (דְּסָלִיק לְעֶשֶׂר אַתְוָון). This tenth (הַאי עִשָּׂרוֹן). And ten to M”H, and M”H to one hundred But three tenths, Yod Yod Yod (אֲבָל שְׁלֹשָׁה עֶשְׂרוֹנִים י׳ י׳ י׳), Some say: this is Yod Heh Vav Heh (נ״א: דָּא יו״ד ה״י וָא״ו ה״י), and they ascend (וְסַלְּקִין), Some say: Lamed Lamed Vav Yod (ס״א: ל׳ ל׳ ו׳ י׳), to Lamed (לְל׳), and ten Sefirot are in them (וְי׳ סְפִירָן בְּהוֹן). They ascend to forty-three eggs (סַלְּקִין מ״ג בֵּיצִים), and all of it is Yod (וְכֹלָּא יו״ד), one-fifth of an egg (חוֹמֶשׁ בֵּיצָה), an addition from the side of the Heh (תּוֹסֶפֶת מִצַּד ה׳). And thus is the Ma‘aser, which is the command for Yisrael to separate tithe (וְהָכִי מַעֲשֵׂר, דְּאִיהוּ פִּקּוּדָא לְהַפְרִישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל מַעֲשֵׂר), from the side of the letter Yod (מִסִּטְרָא דְּאָת י׳).

A tithe from the tithe, one from five, from the side of the letter Heh All the tenths from the letter Yod (כָּל עִשּׂוּרִין דְּאָת י׳), and this is the Shekhinta, one from ten Sefirot (וְאִיהִי שְׁכִינְתָּא חַד מֵעֶשֶׂר סְפִירָן). One from five, this is from the side of Tiferet (א׳ מֵחָמֵשׁ, אִיהוּ מִסִּטְרָא דְּתִפְאֶרֶת), which is five from Keter (דְּאִיהוּ חֲמִשָׁה מִכֶּתֶר). And when you count from Malkhut until Tiferet (וְכַד תַּחְשׁוֹב מִמַּלְכוּת עַד תִּפְאֶרֶת), you will find Tiferet five from below to above (תִּשְׁכַּח תִּפְאֶרֶת חָמֵשׁ מִתַּתָּא לְעֵילָּא). And the Shekhinta is five toward it And from the other side, it is two tenths for the ram (וּמִסִּטְרָא אַחֲרָא אִיהִי שְׁנֵי עֶשְׂרוֹנִים לָאַיִל), and the inclusion of Yod Yod, the spoon in the holy shekel (וּכְלִילַת י׳ י׳ הַכַּף בְּשֶׁקֶל הַקֹּדֶשׁ), ten ten, Yod Heh (עֲשָׂרָה עֲשָׂרָה י׳ ה״ה), for the ram this is Vav (לָאַיִל דָּא ו׳), which is the holy shekel (דְּאִיהוּ שֶׁקֶל הַקֹּדֶשׁ). And this is ten ten, the spoon in the holy shekel

And further, two tenths, Yod Yod, from “And He formed” (וְעוֹד, שְׁנֵי עֶשְׂרוֹנִים, י׳ י׳ מִן וַיִּיצֶר). For the ram, Vav from “And He formed” (לָאַיִל ו׳ מִן וַיִּיצֶר). And all is one, Yod above, Yod below, Vav in the middle And further, three tenths are Yod Yod Yod

The command after this is to separate the Todah offering And the Rabbis, masters of the Mishnah, have established it (וְרַבָּנָן מָארֵי מַתְנִיתִין אוּקְמוּהָ): that Todah is twenty tenths (דְּתוֹדָה עֶשְׂרִים עֶשְׂרוֹנִים), and they are divided, ten tenths for chametz and ten for matzah (וּמִתְפַּלְגִין י׳ עֶשְׂרוֹנִין לְחָמֵץ, וְי׳ לְמַצָה). And from the ten of matzah, they make thirty matzot And from the ten of chametz, they make ten challot And this is: “Fine flour of unleavened cakes mingled with oil” (וְדָא אִיהוּ סֹלֶת חַלּוֹת מַצּוֹת בְּלוּלוֹת בַּשֶּׁמֶן). From the ten tenths, which are Yod Heh Vav Heh (מֵי׳ עֶשְׂרוֹנִים, דְּאִינּוּן יוֹ״ד הֵ״א וָא״ו הֵ״א), they made thirty matzot, which are Yod Yod Yod (הֲווֹ עַבְדִּין ל׳ מַצוֹת, דְּאִינּוּן י׳ י׳ י׳). This Name, sometimes it is to the right, and sometimes to the left, and sometimes in the middle Mercy from every side, to His right and to His left
