And two Mashichin will be aroused by them (וּתְרֵין מְשִׁיחִין יִתְּעֲרוּן לְגַבַּיְיהוּ): Mashiach ben David, corresponding to Netzach (מָשִׁיחַ בֶּן דָּוִד, לָקֳבֵל נֶצַח), and he is bound with the morning of Avraham (וְאִתְקְשַׁר בַּבֹּקֶר דְּאַבְרָהָם). This is what is written: “Pleasures are in Your right hand, Netzach” (נְעִימוֹת בִּימִינְךָ נֶצַח) (Psalms 16). Hod, in Gevurah, in which Mashiach ben Ephraim holds You are in the middle, for your grade is Tiferet (אַנְתְּ בְּאֶמְצָעִיתָא, דְּדַרְגָּא דִּילָךְ תִּפְאֶרֶת), in which the middle pillar is bound with you (דְּאִתְקְשַׁר בָּךְ עַמּוּדָא דְּאֶמְצָעִיתָא). And Yesod, the life of the worlds, in your grade And Chokhmah is on the right, “He who desires to become wise should turn south” (וְחָכְמָה בַּיָּמִין, הָרוֹצֶה לְהַחְכִּים יַדְרִים). And Binah is on the left, “He who desires to become wealthy should turn north” (וּבִינָה לִשְׂמָאלָא, הָרוֹצֶה לְהַעֲשִׁיר יַצְפִּין). She is the bow at your back (אִיהִי הַקֶּשֶׁת גַּבָּךְ), and this is the garment of the Shekhinta (וְהַאי אִיהוּ לְבוּשָׁא דִּשְׁכִינְתָּא). The garment of the Tzaddik, who is called the covenant of the bow And it is the sign of Shabbat, and the sign of Yom Tov, and the sign of Tefillin, and the sign of Brit Milah And Kudsha Berikh Hu said (וְאָמַר קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא): Whoever is not marked with this sign shall not enter this vision, in this chamber (מַאן דְּלָאו אִיהוּ רָשִׁים בְּהַאי אוֹת, לָא יֵיעוּל בְּמַרְאָה דָּא, בְּחֵדֶר דָּא). And this is the staff (וְהַאי אִיהוּ מַטֵּה), that the middle pillar inclines with it toward Chesed, for the perfectly righteous (דְּעַמּוּדָא דְּאֶמְצָעִיתָא מַטֵּה בֵּיהּ כְּלַפֵּי חֶסֶד לַצַדִּיקִים גְּמוּרִים), to give them merits in the eighteen blessings of prayer (לְמֵיהַב לוֹן זַכְוָון, בְּח״י בִּרְכָאן דִּצְלוֹתָא). And it inclines toward obligation for the wicked (וּמַטֵּה כְּלַפֵּי חוֹבָה לְרַשִׁיעַיָּיא), to judge them in Gevurah for judgment, according to their deeds (לְמֵידָן לוֹן בִּגְבוּרָה לְדִינָא, כְּפוּם עוֹבָדֵיהוֹן). And in the middle pillar it prolongs for the Beinonim And this is the letter Shin
Three colors of the bow, the sign of the covenant of the bow (תְּלַת גַּוְונִין דְּקֶשֶׁת, אוֹת בְּרִית הַקֶּשֶׁת), the only daughter, Shabbat the Queen (בַּת יְחִידָה, שַׁבָּת מַלְכְּתָּא). And she has six grades under her dominion (וְאִית לָהּ שִׁית דַּרְגִּין, תְּחוֹת שׁוּלְטָנוּתָא), which are the six days of labor (דְּאִינּוּן שֵׁשֶׁת יְמֵי הַמַּעֲשֶׂה), that are included in Metatron (דִּכְלִילָן בִּמְטַטְרוֹן). About them it is said: “Six days you shall do your work” (שֵׁשֶׁת יָמִים תַּעֲשֶׂה מַעֲשֶׂיךָ) (Exodus 23). But the only daughter, Shabbat for YHVH (אֲבָל בַּת יְחִידָה, שַׁבָּת לַיְדוָֹד), whoever does work on it shall be put to death (הָעוֹשֶׂה בָּהּ מְלָאכָה יוּמָת).
YHVH is called in the letter Heh And from this side: Yado, Liminah (וּמִסִּטְרָא דָּא, יָדוֹ לִימִינָא), which is the Heh of His completion (דְּאִיהוּ ה׳ שְׁלִימוּ דִּילֵיהּ). And so for every side in six directions (וְהָכִי לְכָל סִטְרָא בְּשִׁית סִטְרִין): YDV, DVY, VYD, YVD, DYV, VDY (ידו, דוי, ויד, יוד, דיו, ודי). These are eighteen letters (אִינּוּן ח״י אַתְוָון), included in the Tzaddik, the life of the worlds (דִּכְלִילָן בְּצַדִּיק חַי עָלְמִין). And she is the quarter of a hin in every direction And she is the Heh (וְאִיהִי הֵ״א), from the side of the Explicit Name (מִסִּטְרָא דִּשְׁמָא מְפֹרָשׁ): Yod, Heh, Vav (יוֹ״ד הֵ״א וָא״ו). Yod is in Chesed [Kindness] (יוֹ״ד בְּחֶסֶד), Heh is in Gevurah [Might] (הֵ״א בִּגְבוּרָה), and Vav is in Tiferet [Beauty] (וָא״ו בְּתִפְאֶרֶת).
When this Tal [dew] rules (כַּד שַׁלְטָא הַאי ט״ל), the Sages prohibited forty labors less one (אָסְרוּ חֲכָמִים אַרְבָּעִים מְלָאכוֹת חָסֵר אַחַת). And they are called Avot Melachot [primary labors] (וְאִתְקְרִיאוּ אָבוֹת מְלָאכוֹת), because they correspond to the Avot [Patriarchs] (עַל שֵׁם דְּאִינּוּן לָקֳבֵל אֲבָהָן), over whom Tal [dew] rules (דְּשָׁלִיט עָלַיְיהוּ ט״ל), which is forty less one (דְּאִיהוּ אַרְבָּעִים חָסֵר אַחַת). And through these forty labors less one (וּבְאִלֵּין אַרְבָּעִים מְלָאכוֹת חָסֵר חַד), Adam received ten lashes (לָקָה עֲשַׂרָה מַלְקִיוֹת לָאָדָם), and Chavah [Eve] received ten (וַעֲשַׂרָה לְחַוָּה), and the serpent received ten (וַעֲשַׂרָה לַנָּחָשׁ), and the earth received nine (וְתִשְׁעָה לְאַרְעָא).
And because Tal [dew] rules on Shabbat, which is the Heh (וּבְגִין דְּט״ל שַׁלְטָא בְּשַׁבָּת דְּאִיהוּ ה׳), they do not receive lashes on Shabbat (אֵין לוֹקִין בְּשַׁבָּת). And this Tal [dew] is not like the Tal [dew] of weekdays (וְהַאי ט״ל לָאו אִיהוּ כְּט״ל דְּחוֹל), which is from the side of the servant Metatron (מִסִּטְרָא דְּעֶבֶד מְטַטְרוֹן). And the forty labors less one (וְאַרְבָּעִים מְלָאכוֹת חָסֵר אַחַת)—they are the sower, the plower, and so forth (הֵם הַזּוֹרֵעַ וְהַחוֹרֵשׁ וְכוּ׳) (Shabbat 73a).
Sava, Sava (סָבָא סָבָא), Shekhinta is called earth of Kudsha Berikh Hu (שְׁכִינְתָּא אִתְקְרֵי אֶרֶ״ץ דְקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא). This is what is written: “And the earth is My footstool” (וְהָאָרֶץ הֲדוֹם רַגְלָי) (Isaiah 66). From the side of Chesed it is called water And from the side of Gevurah it is called fire And from the side of the middle pillar it is air And she is earth, the ground of all And because the Neshamah Yeteirah spreads in the Shekhinta (וּבְגִין דְּנִשְׁמְתָא יְתֵירָה אִתְפַּשְּׁטָא בִּשְׁכִינְתָּא), who is Shabbat the Queen (דְּאִיהִי שַׁבָּת מַלְכְּתָּא), about her it is said: “And His kingdom rules over all” (וּמַלְכוּתוֹ בַּכֹּל מָשָׁלָה) (Psalms 103). From there she is Malkhut (מִשָּׁם אִיהִי מַלְכוּת), whose dominion is over the earth, and over the trees and the seeds (דְּשָׁלְטָנוּתָהָא עַל אַרְעָא, וְעַל אִילָנִין וּזְרָעִין; וטורין ואבנין). And because of the Tree of Life (וּבְגִין דְּאִילָנָא דְּחַיֵּי), which is the Neshamah Yeteirah of Shabbat (דְּהִיא נִשְׁמְתָא יְתֵירָה דִּבְשַׁבָּת), in her offspring, there is rest for the earth, which is the Shekhinta (בָּהּ תּוֹלָדִין דִּילָהּ, אִית נַיְיחָא לְאַרְעָא, דְּאִיהִי שְׁכִינְתָּא). And because the supernal Shekhinta spreads upon the earth (וּבְגִין דִּשְׁכִינְתָּא עִלָּאָה אִתְפַּשְּׁטַת בְּאַרְעָא), about her it is said: “A red heifer, whole, without blemish, upon which never came a yoke” (פָרָה אֲדוּמָּה תְּמִימָה אֲשֶׁר אֵין בָּהּ מוּם אֲשֶׁר לֹא עָלָה עָלֶיהָ עוֹל) (Numbers 19). Therefore it is forbidden to plow on Shabbat with an ox As it is said: “Plowmen plowed upon my back” (עַל גַּבִּי חָרְשׁוּ חוֹרְשִׁים) (Psalms 129). And the lower Shekhinta is the red heifer (וּשְׁכִינְתָּא תַּתָּאָה אִיהִי פָּרָה אֲדוּמָה) from the side of Gevurah (מִסִּטְרָא דִּגְבוּרָה). “Whole” is from the side of Chesed (תְּמִימָה, מִסִּטְרָא דְּחֶסֶד), which is the grade of Avraham, as it is said of him: “Walk before Me and be whole” (הִתְהַלֵּךְ לְפָנַי וְהְיֵה תָמִים) (Bereshit 17). “Without blemish” is from the side of the middle pillar “Upon which never came a yoke” is from the side of the supernal Shekhinta, which is freedom (אֲשֶׁר לֹא עָלָה עָלֶיהָ עוֹל, מִסִּטְרָא דִּשְׁכִינְתָּא עִלָּאָה דְּאִיהִי חֵירוּ), in the place where she rules (בַּאֲתָר דְּאִיהִי שַׁלְטָא). As it is written: “And the stranger that comes near shall be put to death” (וְהַזָּר הַקָּרֵב יוּמָת) (Numbers 1). There is no permission for the Sitra achra to rule (לֵית רְשׁוּ לְסִטְרָא אַחֲרָא לְשַׁלְּטָאָה), not Satan, nor destroyer, nor the Angel of Death (לֹא שָׂטָן, וְלֹא מַשְׁחִית, וְלֹא מַלְאָךְ הַמָּוֶת), for they are from the side of Gehinnom (דְּאִינּוּן מִסִּטְרָא דְּגֵיהִנָּם). And because of this, on weekdays Yisrael say (וּבְגִין דָּא, בְּיוֹמִין דְּחוֹל, אַמְרִין יִשְׂרָאֵל): “But He, being merciful, forgives iniquity and does not destroy, and often turns back His anger…” (Psalms 78). Because on weekdays the lower Shekhinta is clothed in those shells of death of judgment But on Shabbat she is stripped from them (וּבְשַׁבָּת אִתְפַּשְּׁטַת מִנַּיְיהוּ), because of the Tree of Life, which is The Son of Yah (בֶּן י״ה), Yod, Heh, Vav, joined with the Heh (יָהוֹ, אִתְחַבָּר בְּהֵ״א). At that time, rest is found for the Heh (בְּהַהוּא זִמְנָא נַיְיחָא אִשְׁתְּכַחַת לְהֵ״א), and for all that is beneath her (וְכָל מַה דְּאִיהוּ תְּחוֹתָהּ). And there is no need to say in it “But He, being merciful” (וְלָא צָרִיךְ לְמֵימַר בֵּיהּ וְהוּא רַחוּם).
And who are they? Some say: those beneath her Beneath Yod are Yisrael And in every place that Yisrael are found, guarding is found and rest And because of this, it is forbidden to plow in the earth (וּבְגִין דָּא, אָסוּר לִמֶחֱרַשׁ בְּאַרְעָא), or to make pits in it (וּלְמֶעְבַּד בָּהּ גוּמוֹת), for it is as though he makes a blemish in the holy earth, which is the Shekhinta (דַּהֲוִי כְּאִילּוּ עָבִיד פְּגִימוּ בְּאַרְעָא קַדִּישָׁא, דְּאִיהִי שְׁכִינְתָּא). And it is forbidden to use vessels of earth on Shabbat (וְאָסוּר לְאִשְׁתַּמְּשָׁא בְּכֵלִים דְּאַרְעָא בְּשַׁבָּת), even to carry a stone (וַאֲפִילּוּ לְטַלְטֵל אֶבֶן). And not a vessel at all So that there be rest for them in the merit of the Shekhinta, who is called stone As it is written of her: “And this stone which I have set as a pillar” (וְהָאֶבֶן הַזֹּאת אֲשֶׁר שַׂמְתִּי מַצֵּבָה) (Bereshit 28), in prayer (בִּצְלוֹתָא). Standing is for Yisrael (עֲמִידָה אִיהִי לְיִשְׂרָאֵל), for by her they have existence in the world (דִּבְגִינָהּ אִית לוֹן קִיוּמָא בְּעָלְמָא). And about her it is said: “From there, the shepherd, the stone of Yisrael” (מִשָּׁם רוֹעֶה אֶבֶן יִשְׂרָאֵל) (Bereshit 49). “Upon one stone are seven eyes” (עַל אֶבֶן אַחַת שִׁבְעָה עֵינָיִם) (Zechariah 3). “The stone the builders despised” (אֶבֶן מָאֲסוּ הַבּוֹנִים) (Psalms 118).
