And the Tzaddik is he who crushes crushings (וְצַדִיק אִיהוּ דְּכָתִישׁ כְּתִישִׁין), and brings forth from all those supernal limbs, which are holy olives (וְאַפִּיק מִכָּל אִינּוּן שַׁיְיפִין עִלָּאִין, דְּאִינּוּן זֵיתִין קַדִישִׁין), abundant oil with complete desire, toward his Nukvah (מְשַׁח רְבוּ בְּתִיאוּבְתָא שְׁלִים, לְגַבֵּי נוּקְבֵיהּ). And if he does not crush, that oil does not come forth (וְאִי לָא כָּתִישׁ, לָא יִפּוּק הַהוּא מִשְׁחָא), except without the desire of the limbs (אֶלָּא בְּלָא תִּיאוּבְתָא דְּשַׁיְיפִין). And that flow, the Nukvah does not enjoy from it, and it is not as it ought to be (וְהַהוּא נְגִידוּ, לָא אִתְהֲנֵי מִנֵּיהּ נוּקְבָּא, וְלָא הֲוִי כַּדְּקָא יָאוּת), until it is mingled from him with all the limbs (עַד דְּתְהֵא בְּלוּלָה מִנֵּיהּ מִכָּל שַׁיְיפִין). And because of this: mingled with pure beaten oil, to enjoy and to be nourished from it Said Ra‘aya Meheimna

Ra‘aya Meheimna

Ra‘aya Meheimna said (אָמַר רַעְיָא מְהֵימָנָא): Holy Luminary, how sweet are your words (בּוּצִּינָא קַדִישָׁא, כַּמָּה מְתִיקִין מִילָךְ). Surely it is said here: mingled with pure beaten oil And it is said there: in the Oral Torah, mingled in Mikra, in Mishnah, in Talmud And furthermore there is a second mystery: mingled with pure beaten oil Surely the Orayta is not mingled (וַדַּאי לָאו אוֹרַיְיתָא אִיהִי בְּלוּלָה), but for one who bears many crushings for her (אֶלָּא לְמַאן דְּסָבִיל כַּמָה מַכְתְּשִׁין בְּגִינָהּ). As the masters of the Mishnah established: the Orayta is not established except in one who makes himself dead over her And furthermore they said: at the time when you crush your feet from city to city, you will merit to behold the face of Shekhinta And furthermore, mingled with pure beaten oil: this is fulfilled in, “Bread with salt you shall eat” (וְעוֹד בְּלוּלָה בְּשֶׁמֶן כָּתִית, דָּא הוּא דִּמְקַיֵּים פַּת בַּמֶלַח תֹּאכַל) (Ezekiel 4). And water by measure you shall drink

And furthermore, mingled with pure beaten oil: this is what is written, “He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities” (וְעוֹד בְּלוּלָה בְּשֶׁמֶן כָּתִית, הֲדָא הוּא דִכְתִיב, וְהוּא מְחוֹלָל מִפְּשָׁעֵינוּ מְדוּכָּא מֵעֲוֹנוֹתֵינוּ) (Isaiah 53). And furthermore, mingled with pure beaten oil: this is the Tzaddik, the life of the worlds (וְעוֹד בְּלוּלָה בְּשֶׁמֶן כָּתִית, דָּא צַּדִיק חַי עָלְמִין), who draws forth holy drops, which are crumbs like olives, from the supernal brain (דְּנָגִיד טִפִּין קַדִישִׁין, דְּאִינּוּן פִּירוּרִין כַּזֵּיתִים, מִמּוֹחָא עִלָּאָה). These are one tenth-measure corresponding to Yud And two tenths - Yod Yod And three tenths for the bull - Yod Yod Yod These are a tenth for the lamb, two tenths for the ram, and three tenths for the bull And the secret of the matter: they said in Taanit, no drop descends from above without two drops rising to correspond to it And these, in this mystery, their hint corresponds to the three mochin (וְאִינּוּן בְּרָזָא דָּא וּרְמִיזוּ דִּילְהוֹן לְקָבֵל תְלָת מוֹחִין): one is the moach of memory (חַד מוֹחַ הַזִכָּרוֹן); the second is the moach of thought (תִּנְיָינָא מוֹחַ הַמַחֲשָׁבָה); the third is the moach of imagination (תְלִיתָאָה מוֹחַ הַדִּמְיוֹן).

The imagination and the memory ascend from the heart, the thought descends upon the heart, and they receive it upon themselves as a king Because this Adam, which is thought, rides and rules over the third beast, and descends upon her toward the two beasts And they open their wings to receive her (וּפַתְחִין גַדְפַיְיהוּ לְקַבְּלָא לָהּ), like a ḥolam [vowel point] upon a tzere [vowel point] becomes a segolta [three-dot vowel point] (כְּגוֹן חוֹלֵם עַל צֵּירֵי אִתְעֲבִיד סֶגוֹלְתָּא). And this is the supernal Keter upon Chokhmah and Binah

A tenth and two tenths allude to the three beasts of the supernal Merkavah (עִשָּׂרוֹן וּשְׁנֵי עֶשְׂרוֹנִים, רְמִיזִין לִתְלַת חֵיוָן דְּמֶרְכַּבְתָּא עִלָּאָה), which are Gedulah, Gevurah, Tiferet (דְּאִינּוּן: גְּדוּלָה, גְּבוּרָה, תִּפְאֶרֶת). Three tenths allude to Netzach, Hod, Yesod - the second Merkavah The fourth of a hin - this is holy Malchut, the fourth Hei of the Name YHVH She is the four-faced Adam Until here is Ra‘aya Meheimna

The fourth of a hin is the fourth leg of the supernal throne And it ascends continually toward it every day (וְאִיהוּ עוֹלָה תָּמִיד לְגַבֵּיהּ בְּכָל יוֹמָא וְיוֹמָא), until the supernal thought which has no end (עַד מַחֲשַׁבְתָּא עִלָּאָה, דְּלֵית לָהּ סוֹף). And because of this, the burnt offering comes for the meditation of the heart

Ra‘aya Meheimna

And in the first connection (וּבְחִבּוּרָא קַדְמָאָה), Ra‘aya Meheimna [Faithful Shepherd] said (אָמַר, רַעְיָא מְהֵימָנָא): “That crown of Zarqa [cantillation mark] (הַהִיא תָּגָא דְּזַרְקָא), it is the Yod [Y], the fourth (אִיהִי יוֹד, רְבִיעִית). Likewise, in the Chayah [living creature] whose name is Adam (אוּף הָכִי בַּחַיָּה דִשְׁמָהּ אָדָם), whose four faces are Yod–Heh–Vav–Heh (דְּאַרְבַּע אַנְפִּין דִּילֵיהּ דְּאִינּוּן יְדוָֹ״ד), Makaf [joining mark], Shofar Holekh [cantillation mark], Segolta [cantillation mark] (מַקָּף שׁוֹפָר הוֹלֵךְ סְגוֹלְתָּא). The three Chayot [living creatures] (תְּלַת חֵיוָן) are the twelve tribes (דְּאִינּוּן תְּרֵיסָר שְׁבָטִין).” Until here is Ra‘aya Meheimna

And in the first connection, the continual burnt offering is the fourth leg of the supernal throne This is the continual burnt offering every day, from those six days of Bereshit On Shabbat, one for two, because additional light and perfection are added in it as is fitting And behold, it has been said (וְהָא אִתְּמַר).

Ra‘aya Meheimna

Ra‘aya Meheimna said (אָמַר רַעְיָא מְהֵימָנָא): Molcho, in six Sefirot, is the continual burnt offering toward the Vav that holds in them (מַלְכוּ בְּשִׁית סְפִירָן אִיהִי עוֹלָה תָּמִיד לְגַבֵּי ו׳, דְּאָחִיד בְּהוֹן). The Son of Yah is hidden in Binah And in whichever Sefirah from those six, she ascends toward Him On the third day, which is called Tiferet On the day of Shabbat, a extra nefesh is added with her, which is Binah, the supernal Hei The Yod of the word Shabbat is the supernal Chokhmah

The King is crowned with Keter And because of this, in the Musaf prayer, “Keter they shall give You” (וּבְגִין דָּא, בִּתְפִלַת מוּסַף כֶּתֶר יִתְּנוּ לְךָ). And in your new moons (וּבְרָאשֵׁי חָדְשֵׁיכֶם) - but how many heads has the moon? Rather these are two points: in this manner, the lower point is the moon, her two heads are her two points above, a Segol At first, Keter was upon two kings in this manner, and it was Segolta Afterwards, when it was said: “It is impossible for two kings to use one crown” (וּלְבָתַר דְּאַמָרְת אִי אֶפְשָׁר לִשְׁנֵי מְלָכִים לְהִשְׁתַּמֵשׁ בְּכֶתֶר אֶחָד), the Holy One blessed be He said to her: “Go and diminish yourself” (אָמַר לֵיהּ הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, לְכִי וּמַעֲטִי אֶת עַצְמֵךְ). And she descended beneath the feet of the two kings, in this manner - and this is Segol. What had been Segolta, returned as Segol And the secret of the matter: corresponding to the two points, which are the two kings, it hints to two young bulls And corresponding to the point of the crown upon their heads, it says: “And one ram” - like one crown

Afterwards, when it was said: “It is impossible for two kings to use one crown,” she diminished herself likewise, and it is said: “And one he-goat for a sin-offering” (בָּתַר דְּאַמְרַת אִי אֶפְשָׁר לִשְׁנֵי מְלָכִים שֶׁיִשְׁתַּמְּשׁוּ בְּכֶתֶר אֶחָד, אַזְעִירַת גַּרְמָהּ אוּף הָכִי, וּשְׂעִיר עִזִּים אֶחָד לְחַטָּאת). The ram of Yitzchak returned as a goat It was transformed from mercy to judgment, and diminished

And because of this: “One he-goat for a sin-offering” and it does not say “for a burnt-offering” - to be a crown And from where do we know that there is descent in the sin-offering? For it is said: And he went down from offering the sin-offering (Leviticus 9). And why is the burnt offering joined with the sin-offering in the descent? But to teach, that the burnt offering at first was the measure of mercy, and afterwards was transformed to judgment in the descent, and it was called sin-offering, and all is one
