Come and see (תָּא חֲזֵי), at first it is written (בְּקַדְמִיתָא כְּתִיב), “He shall roar mightily over His habitation” (Jeremiah 25) (שָׁאֹג יִשְׁאַג עַל נָוֵהוּ). And at that time, when He goes forth to receive His mate (וּבְהַהוּא זִמְנָא כַּד יִפּוּק לְקַבְּלָא לְבַת זוּגוֹ), then “The lion has roared, who shall not fear? Hashem Elohim has spoken, who can but prophesy?” At that time it is written (בְּהַהִיא שַׁעֲתָא כְּתִיב), “And Hashem your Elohim will return your captivity, etc.” And what is “and He shall return”? Rather, Kudsha Berikh Hu shall return Knesset Yisrael from exile (אֶלָּא קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא שָׁב כְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל מִגָּלוּתָא), and the Tzaddik shall return to be joined in his place (וְשָׁב צַדִּיק לְאִזְדַּוְּוגָא בְּאַתְרֵיהּ). Then it is written (כְּדֵין כְּתִיב), “Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your Name, the upright shall dwell in Your presence” (Psalms 140) (אַךְ צַדִּיקִים יוֹדוּ לִשְׁמֶךָ יֵשְׁבוּ יְשָׁרִים אֶת פָּנֶיךָ).

Mishnah (מַתְנִיתִין): To you, sons of man (לְכוֹן בְּנֵי נָשָׁא), masters of wisdom (מָארֵי דְּחָכְמְתָא), masters of understanding (מָארֵי דְּסֻכְלְתָנוּ), a voice calls (קָלָא קָרֵי). Who among you is wise and knows (מַאן מִנְּכוֹן דְּאִתְחַכָּם וְיָדַע), at the time when the white head is prepared (בְּשַׁעֲתָא דְּרֵישָׁא חִיוָּורָא אַתְקִין רֵישָׁא), the inscription from Above to below, and from below to Above (רְשִׁימָא מֵעֵילָּא לְתַתָּא, וּמִתַּתָּא לְעֵילָּא). He prepared the northern side (אַתְקִין סְטָר צָפוֹן), with the crown of the Kunārītā (בְּעִטּוּרָא דְּקוּנָארִיתָא). In it is inscribed the depth of the supernal abyss (בֵּיהּ רָשִׁים עוּמְקָא דִּתְהוֹמָא עִלָּאָה), which rises and descends within it (דְּסָלִיק וְנָחִית בְּגַוֵּיהּ). One hidden degree descended (נָחִית חַד דַּרְגָּא טְמִירָא), with one thousand and five hundred inscriptions (בְּאֶלֶף וַחֲמֵשׁ מְאָה רְשִׁימִין), of one thousand and five hundred worlds (דְּאֶלֶף וַחֲמֵשׁ מְאָה עָלְמִין). “Under it the beasts of the field found shade” (Daniel 4) “And it had ten horns” (Daniel 7)

And behold, eyes like the eyes of a man were to the beast (וַאֲרוּ עַיְינִין כְּעַיְינֵי אֱנָשָׁא לְחֵיוָתָא), and a mouth speaking great things (וּפוּם מְמַלֵּל רַבְרְבָן). When it ascends, it goes by day, hidden by night When it descends, hidden by day, it goes by night When it is lifted up, four shovels that it holds in its hand tremble And with it are taken sixty blasts of fire (וְנַטְלִין עִמָּהּ שִׁתִּין פּוּלְסִין דְּנוּרָא), each one a sharp sword upon its thigh (כָּל חַד חַרְבָּא שִׁנָּנָא עַל יְרֵיכֵיהּ). It ascends with desire (סָלִיק בִּרְעוּתָא), to bring forth a ruler man below (לְאַפָּקָא בַּר נָשׁ שַׁלִּיטָא לְתַתָּא). He prepared in this beast one fine dust He blew in it (נָשַׁב בֵּיהּ), and it spread in the four directions of the world (אִתְפְּשַׁט בְּד׳ סִטְרֵי עָלְמָא). And four blasts were rolled forth (וְד׳ פּוּלְסִין אִתְגַּלְגָּלוּ): one upward (חַד לְעֵילָּא), one downward (חַד לְתַתָּא), one to the north (חַד לַצָּפוֹן), one to the south (חַד לַדָּרוֹם).

One great and mighty tree (אִילָנָא חַד רַבְרְבָא וְתַקִּיף), was joined and coupled with one beautiful branch (אִתְחַבָּר וְאִזְדְּוַוג בָּהּ בְּחַד עַנְפָּא שַׁפִּירָא), which is the joy of all (דְּחֵזוּ חֶדְוָותָא דְּכֹלָּא). As it is said (כְּמָה דְאַתְּ אָמֵר), “Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth” (Psalms 48) (יְפֵה נוֹף מְשׂוֹשׂ כָּל הָאָרֶץ).

In it they coupled (בֵּיהּ אִזְדְּוַוג), they brought forth one hidden spirit (אַפִּיקוּ חַד רוּחָא טְמִירָא), and it filled that boundary of dust (וּמַלְיָא לְהַהוּא גְּבִילוּ דְּעַפְרָא), and it stood upon its feet (וְקָאִים עַל רַגְלוֹי), and he was made king over the whole world (וְאַמְלְכֵיהּ עַל כָּל עָלְמָא), and his dominion over all (וְשַׁלְטֵיהּ עַל כֹּלָּא). This is what is written (הֲדָא הוּא דִכְתִיב), “You made him rule over the works of Your hands, etc.” He was appointed over that tree (אִתְפְּקִיד עַל הַהוּא אִילָנָא), he did not guard the command (לָא נָטַר פִּקּוּדָא), the King returned his spirit to him (אָתִיב מַלְכָּא רוּחֵיהּ לְגַבֵּיהּ), and that beast took him (וְהַהוּא חֵיוָתָא נַטְלָא לֵיהּ). Then other powers are prepared (כְּדֵין זְמִינִין מָנָא אַחֲרָא), and they stand among them (וְקָאִים בֵּינַיְיהוּ). With smoke engraved among the holy angels (בְּקוּטְרָא דִּגְלִיפִין בֵּין מַלְאָכִין קַדִּישִׁין), in the design of crowns they are united (בְּטוּפְסְרָא [ס״א בְּטַפְסָא] דְּעִטּוּרִין אִתְאַחֲדָן).

The later generations dwell, grasping in their sins Their spirit was stripped from that garment of clothing Afterwards it was hidden in the dust (לְבָתַר אַגְנִיז בְּעַפְרָא), among the clods of the valley they were concealed and hidden (בֵּין רִגְבֵי נַחֲלָא אִתְטְמָרוּ וְאִתְגְּנִיזוּ). With one strong bone of that vessel (בְּחַד גַּרְמָא תַּקִּיף דְּהַהוּא מָאנָא), they shall be rebuilt at first (יִתְבְּנוּן בְּקַדְמִיתָא), and armies upon armies shall arise anew (וִיקוּמוּן חֵילִין חֵילִין תִּנְיָינוּת), awakening in the holy land (בְּאַרְעָא קַדִּישָׁא מִתְעָרִין). And Kudsha Berikh Hu is destined (וְזַמִּין קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא), to gather that first dust (לְמִגְבַּל הַהוּא עַפְרָא קַדְמִיתָא), which is that very vessel (דְּהַהוּא מָאנָא מַמָּשׁ). And to raise in it a fine boundary like the leavening of dough And from that boundary which is the whiteness Above (וּמֵהַהוּא גְּבִילוּ דְּאִיהוּ צָחוּתָא דִּלְעֵילָּא), a fitting vessel shall be rectified and established (יִתְתָּקַּן וְיִתְיְשַׁר מָאנָא דְּכַשְׁרָא). As the verse says (כְּגַוְונָא דְּאָמַר קְרָא), “And a fountain shall come forth from the house of Hashem, and shall water the valley of Shittim” (Joel 4) (וּמַעְיָן מִבֵּית יְיָ יֵצֵא וְהִשְׁקָה אֶת נַחַל הַשִּׁטִּים).

For that valley increased desirability in the world Some say: merit (ס״א זְכוּתָא). Some say: lewdness (ס״א זְנוּתָא). And when that holy fountain shall go forth and enter into it (וְכַד הַהוּא מַעְיָינָא קַדִּישָׁא, יִפּוּק וְיֵיעוּל לְגַבֵּיהּ), then it shall be rectified and established (כְּדֵין יִתְתָּקַּן וְיִתְיְשַׁר), and it shall not be in its corruption as before (וְלָא יְהֵא בְּסוּרְחָנֵיהּ כְּקַדְמִיתָא). And those who were not worthy (וְאִינּוּן דְּלָא זָכָּאן), shall arise to be judged in the judgment of the supernal King (יְקוּמוּן לְאִתְדְּנָא בְּדִינָא דְּמַלְכָּא עִלָּאָה). This is what is written (הֲדָא הוּא דִכְתִיב), “And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12) (וְרַבִּים מִיְּשֵׁנֵי אַדְמַת עָפָר יָקִיצוּ אֵלֶּה לְחַיֵּי עוֹלָם וְאֵלֶּה לַחֲרָפוֹת וּלְדִרְאוֹן עוֹלָם). And then it is written (וּכְדֵין כְּתִיב), “For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before Me, says Hashem, so shall your seed and your name remain” (Isaiah 66) (כִּי כַאֲשֶׁר הַשָּׁמַיִם הַחֲדָשִׁים וְהָאָרֶץ הַחֲדָשָׁה אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי עוֹשֶׂה עוֹמְדִים לְפָנַי נְאֻם יְיָ כֵּן יַעֲמוֹד זַרְעֲכֶם וְשִׁמְכֶם).

Blessed is Hashem forever, amen and amen

Hashem shall reign forever, amen and amen
