Daf 74b (דַּף ע״ד ע״ב)
The image of this Adam encompasses all forms (דִּיּוּקְנָא דָּא דְּאָדָם, כָּלִיל כָּל דִּיוּקְנִין), and all of them are included within him (וְכֻלְּהוּ כְּלִילָן בֵּיהּ). This one is not agitated in spirit (הַאי לָא בָּהִיל בְּרוּחֵיהּ). In the moment of his anger, he is calm (בְּשַׁעֲתָא דְּרוּגְזֵיהּ אִיהוּ בְּנַיְיחָא), and his words are calm (וּמִלּוֹי בְּנַיְיחָא), and immediately he is appeased (וּמִיָּד אִתְפָּיָּיס).
The seed of David, in whom that image appeared at first (זַרְעָא דְּדָוִד דְּאִתְחָזֵי בֵּיהּ הַהוּא דִּיּוּקְנָא בְּקַדְמִיתָא), which passed for a moment over the eyes (דְּאַעְבַּר לְפוּם שַׁעֲתָא עַל עַיְינִין), in his anger he is calm (בְּרוּגְזֵיהּ בְּנַיְיחָא), and immediately he is appeased (מִיָּד אִתְפָּיַּיס). But he guards resentment like a snake until the end (אֲבָל נָטִיר דְּבָבוּ כְּנָחָשׁ לְסוֹפָא), because that other side causes it (בְּגִין דְּהַהוּא סִטְרָא גַּרְמָא לֵיהּ), which turns in all directions (דְּסַחֲרָא בְּכָל סִטְרִין). But his mind is inside the shell (אֲבָל מוֹחָא דִּבְגוֹ קְלִיפָה), and his heart aligns (וְלִבָּא מִתְיַשְּׁרָא), and this is stable for those who are righteous (וְיַצִּיבָא דָּא לְאִינוּן זַכָּאִין). But for the guilty, that initial bad image never departs (אֲבָל חַיָּיבִין לָא מִתְעַבְּרָן מֵהַהוּא דִּיּוּקְנָא קַדְמָאָה בִּישָׁא), and it becomes fully joined to them (וְאִתְחַבְּרָן בֵּיהּ בְּכֹלָּא).
The second form: if that man did not go so completely in an evil path (צִיוּרָ״א תִּנְיָינָ״א, אִי הַהוּא בַּר נָשׁ לָא אָזִיל כָּל כַּךְ בְּאָרְחָא בִּישָׁא), and turns aside from that path (וְאַסְטֵי מֵהַהוּא אָרְחָא), and returns to his Master (וְתָב לְמָארִיהּ), not that he was accustomed to paths of righteousness (לָא דְּהוּא רְגִילָא בְּאָרְחוֹי דִּמְתַקְּנָן), but he had been in those ways (אֶלָּא אִיהוּ דְּהֲוָה בְּאִינּוּן אוֹרְחֵי), and strayed from them and repented (מִתְעֲדֵי, וְסָטֵי מִנַּיְיהוּ וְתָב לְמָארֵיהּ) then a good spirit rests upon him (הַאי אִיהוּ רוּחָא טָבָא שָׁארֵי לְמִשְׁרִי עֲלוֹי), and is empowered against the former impurity that was in him (וּלְאִתַּתְקְפָא עַל זוּהֲמָא קַדְמָאָה דְּהֲוָה בֵּיהּ), and it becomes visible outwardly (וּבָלִיט לְבַר), in the gaze of the eyes for a moment (בְּאִסְתַּכְּלוּתָא דְּעַיְינִין לְפוּם שַׁעֲתָא), like the image of a lion that overpowers (כְּחַד דִּיּוּקְנָא דְּאַרְיֵה דְּאִתְגַּבָּר), when one sees him, that vision causes the heart to pass into a lionlike strength for that moment (הַאי בְּשַׁעֲתָא דְּחָמֵי לֵיהּ, הַהוּא חֵיזוּ גָּרִים לֵיהּ לְאַעְבָּר בְּלִבֵּיהּ אַרְיֵה דְּמִתְגַּבְּרָא לְפוּם שַׁעֲתָא).
This one, when they look upon his face afterward (הַאי מִסְתַּכְּלָן בְּאַנְפּוֹי לְבָתַר), those are the faces the heart does not love at that moment (אִינּוּן אַנְפִּין דְּלִבָּא לָא רָחִים לוֹן לְפוּם שַׁעֲתָא), but immediately his heart returns and loves him (וּמִיָּד תָּב לִבֵּיהּ וְרָחִים לֵיהּ). When they look at him, he feels shame (כַּד מִסְתַּכְּלָן בֵּיהּ אַכְסִיף), and he thinks that everyone knows what is in him (וְחָשִׁיב דְּכֹלָּא יַדְעִין בֵּיהּ). His face flushes red for a moment (אַנְפּוֹי חַפְיָין דָּמָא לְפוּם שַׁעֲתָא), and then turns pale or green (מִתְהַפְּכָן לְחִוְּורָא אוֹ לִירוֹקָא).
There are three projecting strokes in his face (תְּלַת שׁוּרְיֵיקָן אִית בְּאַנְפּוֹי): one to the right (חַד לִימִינָא), which spreads over his face and clings to it (דְּדָא אִתְפָּשַׁט בְּאַנְפּוֹי וְאִתְאֲחִיד בֵּיהּ); one that rises to his nose upward (חַד דְּסַלְּקָא לְחוֹטָמֵיהּ לְעֵילָּא); and two to the left (וּתְרֵין לִשְׂמָאלָא). And one that extends downward from those two (וְחַד דְּאִתְפָּשַּׁט לְתַתָּא מֵאִינּוּן תְּרִין), and clings to both of them (וְאָחִיד בְּהַאי וּבְהַאי). And these are letters that are engraved in his face (וְאִלֵּין אִינּוּן אַתְוָון דְּמִתְחַקְּקָן בְּאַנְפּוֹי), and they are protruding, not lying flat (וְאִינּוּן בַּלְטִין דְּלָא שְׁכִיבִין). And when he becomes settled and accustomed to the path of truth (וְכַד מִתְיַישְׁבָא וְאַרְגִּיל בְּאֹרַח קְשׁוֹט), they lie flat (שְׁכִיבִין).
