“Remember the day of Shabbat to sanctify it”-this is the secret of the holy covenant And because upon this covenant all sources of the limbs of the body stand (וּבְגִין דִּבְהַאי בְּרִית קַיְימִין כָּל מְקוֹרִין דְּשַׁיְיפֵי גּוּפָא), and it includes all (וְאִיהוּ כָּלַל כֹּלָּא). In the same manner, Shabbat is the entirety of the Orayta (כְּגַוְונָא, דָּא שַׁבָּת אִיהוּ כְּלָלָא דְּאוֹרַיְּיתָא), and all secrets of the Orayta are dependent upon it (וְכָל רָזִין דְּאוֹרַיְּיתָא בֵּיהּ תַּלְיָין), and the observance of Shabbat is like the observance of the whole Orayta (וְקִיּוּמָא דְּשַׁבָּת, כְּקִיּוּמָא דְּכָל אוֹרַיְּיתָא); one who guards Shabbat, it is as if he guards the whole Orayta (מַאן דְּנָטִיר שַׁבָּת, כְּאִילּוּ נָטִיר אוֹרַיְּיתָא כֻּלָּא).
“Remember” is the secret of the male principle (זָכוֹר – רָזָא דִּדְכוּרָא אִיהוּ), the secret of the male that holds all the limbs of the supernal world (רָזָא דִּדְכוּרָא דְּנָקִיט כָּל שַׁיְיפֵי דְּעָלְמָא עִלָּאָה). “Et Yom haShabbat”-to elevate the qualities of Shabbat, which is the night, and this is “Et” (אֶת יוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת – לְאַסְגָּאָה מַעֲלֵי שַׁבְּתָא, דְּאִיהוּ לַיְלָה, וְדָא אִיהוּ אֶת). “LeKadsho”-that requires sanctification from within the holy people, and to be crowned among them as is fitting
“Remember”-a place where there is no forgetfulness, and forgetfulness does not exist in it (זָכוֹר – אֲתָר דְּלֵית לֵיהּ שִׁכְחָה, וְלָא קַיְימָא בֵּיהּ שִׁכְחָה), for there is no forgetfulness (דְּהָא לֵית שִׁכְחָה) in the place of the supernal covenant, and how much more so above p6-24(בַּאֲתָר דִּבְרִית עִלָּאָה, וְכָל שֶׁכֵּן לְעֵילָּא). And below, there is forgetfulness-a place which requires remembrance (וּלְתַתָּא אִית שִׁכְחָה, אֲתָר דְּאִצְטְרִיךְ לְאַדְכְּרָא), and concerning this it is written: “Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered…”
And there, appointees exist who recall the merits and sins of man And there is no forgetfulness before the Holy Throne-what is before Him And who is before Him? “Remember” (וּמַאן אִיהוּ קָמֵיהּ זָכוֹר). And all the more so above (וְכָל שֶׁכֵּן לְעֵילָּא), for all is the secret of the male principle (בְּגִין דְּכֹלָּא רָזָא דִּדְכוּרָא אִיהוּ), and there is inscribed there the secret of the Holy Name YH״V (וְתַמָּן אִתְגְּלִיף רָזָא דִּשְׁמָא קַדִּישָׁא יְד״ו). And below, there is a need for sanctification And with what is it sanctified? With “Remember” (וּבַמֶּה אִתְקַדָּשׁ בְּזָכוֹר), for from it are drawn all sanctifications and all blessings (דְּהָא מִנֵּיהּ נָטִיל כָּל קִדּוּשִׁין וְכָל בִּרְכָּאן). And this, when the qualities of Shabbat are crowned upon the holy people as is proper, with prayers and petitions and with arrangements of joy
