The second wrath—this descends into the world (רוּגְזָא תִּנְיָינָא, הַאי אִיהוּ נַחְתָּא לְעָלְמָא), and it roams and spreads to all sides (וְשָׁאט וְאִתְפָּשַּׁט לְכָל סִטְרִין), and this is called “Hatred” (וְהַאי אִקְרֵי שִׂנְאָה). And this descends and enters into mankind (וְהַאי נַחְתָּא וְעָאל בִּבְנֵי נָשָׁא), and once it enters, it is called “the Silent Destroyer” (וְהַאי כֵּיוָן דְּעָאל, אִקְרֵי מְחַבְּלָא שְׁתִיקָא). And this is wrath that is silent (וְהַאי אִיהוּ רָגְזָא דְּשָׁתִיק), and this is that which joins with the place of the Nukva (וְהַאי אִיהוּ דְּאִשְׁתַּתֵּף בְּהַהוּא אֲתָר דְּנוּקְבָּא). And this is wrath of silence, that stands in crookedness This is the hardest of all (הַאי קַשְׁיָא מִכֻּלְּהוּ), because it is in the manner of a serpent, always silent yet afterwards killing (בְּגִין דְּאִיהוּ כְּגַוְונָא דְּחִוְיָא, דְּשָׁתִיק תָּדִיר, וְקָטִיל לְבָתַר).
The third wrath—this is wrath in the opposite manner from the first (רוּגְזָא תְּלִיתָאָה, הַאי אִיהוּ רוּגְזָא בְּהִפּוּכָא מִקַּדְמָאָה), which goes and prevails and is not silent (דְּאַזְלָא וְאִתָּקַף וְלָא שָׁתִיק), but that wrath is revealed (אֶלָּא אִתְגְּלֵי הַהוּא רוּגְזָא). And whoever is revealed thus—whatever is revealed is broken (וְכָל מַאן דְּאִתְגְּלֵי הָכִי אִתְּבַר כָּל מַה דְּאִתְגְּלֵי), and he who does not stay silent—thus it is broken (וְלָא שָׁתִיק, הָכִי אִתְּבַּר). And thus it is called “Broken Wrath” (וְהָכִי אִקְרֵי רוּגְזָא תְּבִירָא).
The fourth wrath—service that is strong, but its end is broken And therefore this wrath is opposite from the first ones And therefore this is the most broken side of all And because of this, all is in the first degree
The second degree—this is the degree that emerges from darkness (דַּרְגָּא תִּנְיָינָא, אִיהוּ דַּרְגָּא דְּנָפִיק מֵחֲשׁוֹכָא), and this is a dark hue (וְהַאי אִיהוּ גּוָֹון חֲשׁוּךְ), that exists from within that darkness (דְּקַיְּימָא מִגּוֹ הַאי חֲשׁוֹכָא), because all exists from within darkness (בְּגִין דְּכֹלָּא קַיְּימָא מִגּוֹ חֲשׁוֹכָא). And it exists in known degrees And this spreads below in known hues
In this degree, three hundred sides stand (בְּדַרְגָּא דָּא, קַיְימִין תְּלַת מֵאָה סִטְרִין), divided one from another (מִתְפָּרְשִׁין דָּא מִן דָּא), yet all included one in the other (וְכֻלְּהוּ כְּלִילָן דָּא בְּדָא). And even though they differ one from another (וְאַף עַל גַּב דִּמְשַׁנְיָין דָּא מִן דָּא), and overcome one another (וְאִתְגַּבְּרָן (ד״א ואנהרן) דָּא מִן דָּא), still all is included one in the other (כֹּלָּא כָּלִיל דָּא בְּדָא). And because of this, all the known degrees in this side exist only for destruction From here come forth all those destroyers who roam in the world (מֵהָכָא נַפְקֵי כָּל אִלֵּין מְחַבְּלִין דְּשַׁטְיָין בְּעָלְמָא), and who execute judgment openly (וְעַבְדֵי דִּינָא בְּאִתְגַּלְיָיא), some say: in the world (ד״א בְּעָלְמָא), upon the hidden deeds that were done within darkness in concealment (עַל עוֹבָדִין סְתִימִין דְּאִתְעָבֵידוּ גּוֹ חָשׁוּךְ בִּטְמִירוּ). And these roam in the world (וְאִינּוּן שַׁטְיָין בְּעָלְמָא), and they execute judgment openly upon them (וְעַבְדֵי דִּינָא בְּאִתְגַּלְיָיא בְּהוּ). And because of this, all those who roam in the world and execute judgment openly (וּבְגִין כַּךְ, כָּל אִלֵּין דְּשַׁטְיָין בְּעָלְמָא, וְעַבְדֵי דִּינָא בְּאִתְגַּלְיָיא), all of them stand opposite mankind (כֻּלְּהוּ קַיְימִין בְּקָבְלֵייהוּ דִּבְנֵי נָשָׁא), to always be prepared against those hidden sins we mentioned (לְאִתְעַתְּדָא תָּדִיר, גַּבֵּי אִינּוּן חוֹבִין טְמִירִין דְּקָאָמַרָן). And those who are called “Anger and Wrath” (וְאִינּוּן דְּאִקְרוּן אַף וְחֵמָּה), join with them and execute judgment upon mankind (מִתְחַבְּרָן עִמְּהוֹן וְעַבְדֵי דִּינָא עָלַיְיהוּ דִּבְנֵי נָשָׁא). This takes place in the world, from those masters of judgment, as we have said
This degree exists within darkness and fire (דַּרְגָּא דָּא קַיְּימָא גּוֹ חֲשׁוֹכָא וְאֶשָּׁא), which is one secret (דְּאִיהוּ רָזָא חֲדָא). And from this degree, many powerful degrees branch out (וּמִגּוֹ דַּרְגָּא דָּא, מִתְפָּרְשָׁן כַּמָה דַּרְגִּין תַּקִּיפִין), mighty ones (גַּבְרִין), who stand under the side of one firmament (דְּקַיְימָן תְּחוֹת סִטְרָא דִּרְקִיעָא חֲדָא), which is called the Black Firmament (דְּאִקְרֵי רְקִיעָא אוּכָמָא).
The third degree—this is the firmament (דַּרְגָּא תְּלִיתָאָה, הַאי אִיהוּ רְקִיעָא), which spreads over all those degrees (דְּמִתְפַּשְּׁטָא עַל כָּל אִינּוּן דַּרְגִּין), which are red like a rose (דְּאִינּוּן סוּמָקִין כְּוַורְדָּא). And these are called the arms of this side Beneath these, degrees spread downward (תְּחוֹת אִלֵּין, מִתְפַּשְּׁטִין לְתַתָּא דַּרְגִּין), until they reach within the third degree (עַד דְּמָטוּ לְגוֹ דַּרְגָּא תְּלִיתָאָה), some say: that black firmament (נ״א: הַהוּא רְקִיעָא אוּכָמָא), because those of the second degree emerge from within that Black Firmament (בְּגִין דְּאִלֵּין דִּי בְּדַרְגָּא תִּנְיָינָא, נַפְקֵי מִגּוֹ הַהוּא רְקִיעָא אוּכָמָא), and they roam in the world (וְשַׁטְיָין בְּעָלְמָא). These are to the right, and these to the left Those of the right branch into three sides (אִלֵּין דִּימִינָא, מִתְפָּרְשָׁן לִתְלַת סִטְרִין), which are three bonds (דְּאִינּוּן תְּלַת קִשְׁרִין). And those of the left branch into three sides (וְאִלֵּין דִּשְׂמָאלָא, מִתְפָּרְשָׁן לִתְלַת סִטְרִין), which are three other bonds (דְּאִינּוּן תְּלַת קִשְׁרִין אַחֲרָנִין).
The first bond stands above And the smoke of darkness in wrath was bound in it This bond has within it three dark hues (הַאי קִשְׁרָא, אִית בָּהּ תְּלַת גַּוְונִין חֲשׁוֹכִין), differing one from the other (וּמְשַׁנְיָין דָּא מִן דָּא), and they are included one within the other (וְאִתְכְּלִילוּ דָּא בְּדָא).
This bond is bent, and not spread out (וְהַאי קִשְׁרָא, אִיהוּ כָּפִיף, וְלָא אִתְפָּשַׁט), some say: subdued (ס״א אִתְכַּפְיָיא), except at known times (בַּר לְזִמְנִין יְדִיעָאן). This is called Wrath (‘Evrah) And it stands without slumber (וְאִיהוּ קַיְּימָא בְּלָא שְׁכִיכוּ), because it does not rest (בְּגִין דְּלָא שָׁכִיךְ), except at the time when Yisrael bring a sacrifice below (בַּר בְּזִמְנָא דְּיִשְׂרָאֵל מְקָרְבִין קָרְבָּנָא לְתַתָּא).
For at that time this wrath is subdued (בְּגִין דִּבְהַהוּא זִמְנָא אִשְׁתְּכַךְ הַהוּא רוּגְזָא), and forced downwards (וְאִתְכַּפְיָיא לְתַתָּא), and its anger weakened (וְאִתְחַלָּשׁ רוּגְזֵיהּ). Some say: its strength (ד״א תּוּקְפֵיהּ). And it is unable to rule or overpower And when this one is weakened (וְכַד אִתְחֲלָשׁ הַאי), then the second bond, which is in the middle, is unable to take and to rule (כְּדֵין קִשְׁרָא תִּנְיָינָא, דְּאִיהוּ בְּאֶמְצָעִיתָא לָא יָכִיל לְנַטְלָא וּלְאַנְהָגָא).
The second bond is that which is called Indignation (Za‘am) This bond is that which takes from place to place (הַאי קִשְׁרָא אִיהוּ דְּנָטִיל מֵאֲתָר לַאֲתָר), and leads all the other bonds (וְאַנְהִיג לְכָל שְׁאַר קִשְׁרִין). And all the other bonds are conducted through it (וְכָל שְׁאַר קִשְׁרִין כֻּלְּהוּ, אִתְנַהֲגָן בֵּיהּ), and all are strengthened by this bond (וְכֻלְּהוּ אִתָּקָפוּ בְּהַאי קִשְׁרָא). This is the one that directs all pains to the world
For when it joins with another degree to embrace the Nukva (בְּגִין דְּכַד אִתְחַבָּר בְּדַרְגָּא אַחֲרָא, לְחַבְּקָא לְנוּקְבָּא), then descend into the world all the sufferings, and all the oppressions, and all the afflictions (כְּדֵין נַחְתֵּי לְעָלְמָא, כָּל צַעְרִין, וְכָל דַּחֲקִין, וְכָל עָאקוּ). For they cannot rule, one without the other And all those degrees are given to the female, to rule and to turn the world astray And if not for this one riding upon that one, and this one joined with that one (וְאִי לָאו דְּרָכִיב דָּא עַל דָּא, וְאִתְחַבָּר דָּא בְּדָא), they could not rule (לָא יַכְלִין לְשַׁלְּטָאָה).
