And in all of them (וּבְכֹלָּא), was appointed (אִתְמָנָא) this spirit (הַאי רוּחָא), Urpaniel (אוּרְפָנִיאֵ״ל), of whom we have spoken (דְּקָאָמַרָן), and he rules (וְאִיהוּ שַׁלִּיט) over this palace (עַל הַאי הֵיכָלָא). From this inclusion (מִכְּלָלָא דָּא), when spirit was included in spirit (כַּד אִתְכְּלִיל רוּחָא בְּרוּחָא), and this struck against this (וּבָטַשׁ דָּא בְּדָא) to be included together as one (לְאִתְכַּלְּלָא כַּחֲדָא), there were created (אִתְבְּרִיאוּ) those other rulers (אִינּוּן שַׁלִּיטִין אַחֲרָנִין) who were appointed over the world (דְּאִתְמְנָן עַל עָלְמָא), and these are the Seraphim of six wings (וְאִלֵּין אִינּוּן שְׂרָפִים דְּשִׁית גַּדְפִּין).
Who sanctify their Master three times a day And these are they who are exacting with the Righteous (וְאִלֵּין אִינּוּן דִּמְדַקְדְקֵי עִם צַדִּיקַיָּיא), even as one single hair’s breadth (אֲפִילּוּ כְּחַד נִימָא דְּשַׂעֲרָא). And these are they who stand ready to punish (וְאִלֵּין אִינּוּן דְּקַיְימֵי לְאַעְנָשָׁא), in this world and in the world to come (בְּהַאי עָלְמָא וּבְעָלְמָא דְּאָתֵי). And upon those who scorn a man (וּלְאִינּוּן דִּמְזַלְזְלֵי לְבַּר נָשׁ), from whom they learned even one word of Orayta (דְּאוֹלִיפוּ מִנֵּיהּ אֲפִילּוּ מִלָּה חֲדָא בְּאוֹרַיְּיתָא), and do not show him honor (וְלָא מְנָהֲגֵי בֵּיהּ יְקָר). And upon all those who make use of one who recites the Six Orders of Mishnah (וּלְכָל אִינּוּן דְּמִשְׁתַּמְשֵׁי בְּמַאן דְּקָארִי שִׁית סִדְרֵי מִשְׁנָה), to unite the union of their Master (לְיַחֲדָא יִחוּדָא דְּמָארֵיהוֹן).
When spirit rests in spirit (כַּד מִתְיַשְּׁבָן רוּחָא בְּרוּחָא), and they shine together (וְאִתְנָהֲרָן כַּחֲדָא). From that illumination there goes forth one Chayot (מֵהַהוּא נְהִירוּ נָפְקָא חֵיוָתָא חֲדָא), that rules over those Seraphim (דְּשַׁלְטָא עַל אִינּוּן שְׂרָפִים), and four are beneath her (וְאַרְבַּע תְּחוֹתָהּ), whose faces are the face of an eagle (דְּאַנְפַּיְיהוּ אַנְפִּין דְּנֶשֶׁר). This Chayot—Yofiel is her name (הַאי חֵיוָתָא יוֹפִיאֵ״ל שְׁמֵיהּ), and she stands in all the secrets of wisdom (וְאִיהִי קַיְּימָא בְּכָל רָזֵי דְּחָכְמְתָא), for all those openings of wisdom are within her (לְכָל אִינּוּן מַפְתְּחָאן דְּחָכְמְתָא קַיְימִין בֵּיהּ).
This Chayot (הַאי חֵיוָתָא), stands to demand reward from Kudsha Berikh Hu (קַיְּימָא לְמִתְבַּע אַגְרָא מֵעִם קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא), to give to all those who pursue after all their masters of wisdom (לְמֵיהַב לְכָל אִינּוּן דְּרַדְפֵי בָּתַר כָּל מָארֵיהוֹן דְּחָכְמָה), and even from every man (וַאֲפִילּוּ מִכָּל בַּר נָשׁ), who has studied wisdom to know their Master (וְאוֹלְפֵי חָכְמָה לְמִנְדַּע לְמָארֵיהוֹן), and that reward she gives to the sons of men who pursue after wisdom to know their Master (וְהַהוּא אַגְרָא דְּיָהִיב לִבְנֵי נָשָׁא דְּרַדְפֵי בָּתַר חָכְמָה לְמִנְדַּע לְמָארֵיהוֹן).
That when a man departs from this world (דְּכַד נָפַק בַּר נָשׁ מֵהַאי עָלְמָא), this Chayot goes forth upon four Seraphim flying (הַאי חֵיוָתָא נָפְקָא עַל ד׳ שְׂרָפִים מְעֹפְפִין), and flies before him (וְטָאסַת קַמֵּיהּ), and does not allow all those bands of accusing forces of the Sitra achra (וְלָא שָׁבִיק כָּל אִינּוּן גַּרְדִּינֵי נִימוּסִין דִּי בְּסִטְרָא אַחֲרָא), to draw near to him (לְמִקְרַב בַּהֲדֵיהּ). And how many are the emissaries of peace, her companions And these Seraphim, when they are lifted up and revealed (וְאִלֵּין שְׂרָפִים כַּד נַטְלִין וְאִתְחַזְּיָין), those Seraphim of bronze are subdued (אִתְכַּפְיָין אִינּוּן שְׂרָפִים נְחָשִׁים), that go forth from that serpent who brought death upon all the world (דְּנַפְקָן מֵהַהוּא נָחָשׁ דְּגָרִים מוֹתָא לְכָל עָלְמָא).
This holy chayot (הַאי חֵיוָתָא קַדִּישָׁא), stands when the Neshama ascends and comes before her (קַיְּימָא כַּד נִשְׁמְתָא סַלְּקָא וּמָטָאת לְגַבֵּיהּ). Then she asks it (כְּדֵין שָׁאַל לָהּ), in the secret of the wisdom of its Master (בְּרָזָא דְּחָכְמְתָא דְּמָארֵיהּ). And according to that wisdom which it pursued after her and clung (וּכְפוּם הַהִיא חָכְמְתָא דְּרָדִיף אֲבַתְרָהּ וְאַדְבַּק), Some say: in her (נ״א: בה), so is the reward given to him (הָכִי יַהֲבֵי לֵיהּ אַגְרֵיהּ). And if he was able to cling but did not cling (וְאִי יָכִיל לְאַדְבְּקָא וְלָא אַדְבַּק), she casts him outside (דָּחֵי לֵיהּ לְבַר), and does not bring him in (וְלָא עַיְילָה). And she stands beneath that palace in shame And when those Seraphim that are beneath her lift their wings (וְכַד נַטְלֵי גַּדְפַיְיהוּ אִלֵּין שְׂרָפִים דִּתְחוֹתָהּ), then all of them strike with their wings (כְּדֵין כֻּלְּהוּ בַּטְשֵׁי בְּגַדְפַיְיהוּ), and they ignite her (וְאוֹקְדוּן לָהּ), and she is ignited yet not ignited (וְאִתּוֹקְדַת וְלָא אִתּוֹקְדַת), and she stands yet does not stand (וְקַיְּימָא וְלָא קַיְּימָא). And thus she is judged every day (וְהָכִי אִתְּדָנָת בְּכָל יוֹמָא), shining and not shining (נְהִירַת וְלָא נְהִירַת). And even though good deeds are with her (וְאַף עַל גַּב דְּעוֹבָדִין טָבִין אִית לָהּ), for the reason that (בְּגִין) there is no reward in that world (דְּלֵית אַגְרָא בְּהַהוּא עָלְמָא), like those who labor in wisdom (כְּאִינּוּן דְּמִשְׁתַּדְּלֵי בְּחָכְמְתָא), to gaze upon the glory of their Master (לְאִסְתַּכְּלָא בִּיקָרָא דְּמָארֵיהוֹן). And there is no measure to the reward (וְלֵית שִׁיעוּרָא לְאַגְרָא), of those who know wisdom (דְּאִינּוּן דְּיַדְעֵי חָכְמְתָא), to gaze upon the glory of their Master (לְאִסְתַּכְּלָא בִּיקָרָא דְּמָארֵיהוֹן). Fortunate is their portion in this world and in the world to come As it is written (Proverbs 3): Happy is the man who has found wisdom, and the man who brings forth understanding
This spirit (רוּחָא דָּא), rules over all (שַׁלְטָא עַל כֹּלָּא). All are included in her (כֹּלָּא כְּלִילָן בָּהּ), all gaze toward her (כֹּלָּא אִסְתַּכְיָין לְגַבָּהּ). This Chayot (הַאי חֵיוָתָא), rules over four others (שַׁלְטָא עַל אַרְבַּע אַחֲרָנִין), and four wheels for each one (וְאַרְבַּע גַּלְגַּלִּין לְכָל חַד וְחַד). One wheel looks toward the east And one wheel looks toward the north And one wheel looks toward the south And one wheel looks toward the west And each and every one with three supports
The wheel toward the east, Chaniel is its name The wheel toward the north, Karshiel is its name The wheel toward the south, Azriel is its name The wheel toward the west, Aniel is its name And those three supports of each one (וְאִינּוּן תְּלַת סַמְכִין דְּאִינּוּן לְכָל חַד וְחַד), all gaze toward the middle one (כֻּלְּהוּ אִסְתַּכְיָין לְאֶמְצָעִיתָא). Because the middle one takes them (בְּגִין דְּאֶמְצָעִיתָא אִיהוּ נָטִיל לוֹן), and all take because of the middle one (וְכֻלְּהוּ נַטְלוּ בְּגִינֵיהּ דְּאֶמְצָעִיתָא).
These who stand in the middle (אִלֵּין דְּקַיְימֵי בְּאֶמְצָעִיתָא), all of them are appointed in song (כֻּלְּהוּ מְמָנָן בְּשִׁירָתָא). And those of the right side (וְאִלֵּין דִּימִינָא) say the song (אָמְרֵי שִׁירָתָא), that raises desire above (דְּסַלְּקָא רְעוּתָא לְעֵילָּא), and they say “Holy” (וְאָמְרֵי קָדוֹשׁ). And those of the left side (וְאִלֵּין דִּשְׂמָאלָא) say the song (אָמְרֵי שִׁירָתָא), and raise desire above (וְסַלְקֵי רְעוּתָא לְעֵילָּא), and they say “Blessed” (וְאַמְרֵי בָּרוּךְ). “Holy” is above (קָדוֹשׁ לְעֵילָּא), and “Blessed” is below (וּבָרוּךְ לְתַתָּא).
These who stand above on the right side (אִלֵּין דְּקַיְימֵי לְעֵילָּא לִסְטַר יְמִינָא), take holiness (נַטְלֵי קְדוּשָּׁה), and join in holiness (וּמִתְחַבְּרָאן בִּקְדוּשָּׁה), with all those who know to sanctify their Master (בְּכָל אִינּוּן דְּיַדְעֵי לְקַדְּשָׁא לְמָארֵיהוֹן), in union in the secret of wisdom (בְּיִחוּדָא בְּרָזָא דְּחָכְמְתָא). And these who stand on the left (וְאִלֵּין דְּקַיְימֵי בִּשְׂמָאלָא), take holiness (נַטְלֵי קְדוּשָּׁה), and join in all those who do not know to sanctify their Master properly (וּמִתְחַבְּרָאן בְּכָל אִינּוּן דְּלָא יַדְעֵי לְקַדְּשָׁא לְמָארֵיהוֹן כַּדְקָא יֵאוֹת). And all of them are included, these in those, in one Union (וְכֻלְּהוּ כְּלִילָן אִלֵּין בְּאִלֵּין בְּיִחוּדָא חֲדָא), and they are bound one to another (וּמִתְקַשְּׁרָאן דָּא בְּדָא), until all of them are made one bond (עַד דְּכֻלְּהוּ אִתְעָבִידוּ קִשּׁוּרָא חֲדָא), and one spirit (וְרוּחָא חֲדָא), and they are bound with those above (וּמִתְקַשְּׁרָן בְּאִינּוּן דִּלְעֵילָּא), to be all as one (לְמֶהֱוִי כֹּלָּא חַד), to be included this in that (לְאִתְכַּלְּלָא דָּא בְּדָא).
