And how many Merkavot descend for his sake (וְאֵיךְ נָחֲתִין בְּגִינֵיהּ כַּמָּה מֶרְכָּבוֹת), and they teach him all the Orayta (וְאוֹלְפִין לֵיהּ כָּל אוֹרַיְיתָא). And if he engages in it they remind him of all that they taught him in the womb of his mother Afterwards they show him Gehinnom (לְבָתַר אַחְזְיָין לֵיהּ גֵּיהִנָּם), that if he transgresses the commandments of the Orayta what is his punishment (דְּאִם עָבַר עַל פִּקּוּדֵי אוֹרַיְיתָא מַהוּ עוֹנְשָׁא דִילֵיהּ), just as they showed him his reward (כְּמָה דְאַחְזִיאוּ לֵיהּ אַגְרֵיהּ). After he comes forth from the womb of his mother his eyes are closed from all those lights (לְבָתַר דְּנָפִיק מִמְּעִי אִמֵּיהּ סָתִים עִינוֹי מִכָּל אִינוּן נְהוֹרִין), as it is said “And his eyes were dim from seeing” (Bereshit 27) (כְּמָה דְאִתְּמַר וַתִּכְהֶןָ עֵינָיו מֵרְאוֹת), and these are Tohu and Bohu (וְאִלֵּין תֹּהוּ וָבֹהוּ). This is what is written “And the earth was without form and void and darkness etc.” And so it is for one who does not engage in Orayta, his eyes are closed from the World to Come After he engages in Orayta immediately “And Elohim said Let there be light and there was light” (Bereshit 1) (בָּתַר דְּאִשְׁתַּדַּל בְּאוֹרַיְיתָא מִיָּד וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים יְהִי אוֹר וַיְהִי אוֹר), that they shine to him with the light of that world (דְּנַהֲרִין לֵיהּ בִּנְהוֹרָא דְהַהוּא עָלְמָא).
Immediately when he goes to that world immediately “Let the waters be gathered from under the heavens to one place” (Bereshit 1) (מִיָּד דְּאָזִיל לְהַהוּא עָלְמָא מִיָּד יִקָּווּ הַמַּיִם מִתַּחַת הַשָּׁמַיִם אֶל מָקוֹם אֶחָד), the Neshama is gathered to one place (אִתְכַּנְשַׁת נִשְׁמָתָא לַאֲתַר חַד). This is what is written “And the spirit shall return to Elohim who gave it” (Ecclesiastes 12) And the body is left dry (וְגוּפָא אִשְׁתָּאַר יַבָּשָׁה), this is what is written “And let the dry land appear” (Bereshit 1) (הֲדָא הוּא דִכְתִיב וְתֵרָאֶה הַיַּבָּשָׁה). After his Neshama is gathered Kudsha Berikh Hu says to the Shekhinta (לְבָתַר דְּאִתְכַּנְשַׁת נִשְׁמָתֵיהּ קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא יֵימָא לִשְׁכִינְתָּא), “Let the earth bring forth a living soul after its kind” (Bereshit 1) (תּוֹצֵא הָאָרֶץ נֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה לְמִינָהּ). Who is living? These are the Chayot haKodesh (מָאן חַיָּה אִלֵּין חַיּוֹת הַקֹּדֶשׁ), and they shine to him (וְנַהֲרִין לֵיהּ), for they descend to receive him (דְּנָחֲתִין לֵיהּ לְקַבְּלָא לֵיהּ). This is what is written “On the palms they shall bear you” (Psalms 91) And further “Let the earth bring forth a living soul” to receive him (וְעוֹד תּוֹצֵא הָאָרֶץ נֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה לְקַבְּלָא לֵיהּ), after its kind - this is the mate that is given to him in that world (לְמִינָהּ דָּא בַּת זוּגֵיהּ דְּאִתְיְיהִיבַת לֵיהּ בְּהַהוּא עָלְמָא), beast and creeping thing and animal of the earth after its kind (בְּהֵמָה וָרֶמֶשׂ וְחַיְתוֹ אֶרֶץ לְמִינָהּ). How many hosts and camps for his honor And afterwards He brings forth for him trees and grasses in the Garden of Eden This is what is written “And Elohim said Let the earth sprout” (Bereshit 1) All that was created in the six days of Creation are all prepared for him in that world (כָּל מַה דְּאִתְבְּרֵי בְּשִׁית יְמֵי בְרֵאשִׁית כֻּלְּהוּ מְזוּמָן לֵיהּ בְּהַהוּא עָלְמָא), in the upper and lower Garden of Eden (בְגַן עִדֶן עִלָּאָה וְתַתָּאָה).
