The Ark-this is Shabbat (וְעָשׂוּ אֲרוֹן דָּא שַׁבָּת), for the Mishkan is “sixfold-twisted” (דְּמַשְׁכְּנָא אִיהוּ שֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר), included of the six days of Bereshit (כְּלִיל שִׁית יוֹמִין דִּבְּרֵאשִׁית), which are the two arms-Chesed and Gevurah (דְּאִינוּן תְּרֵין דְּרוֹעִין חֶסֶד וּגְבוּרָה), and the body-the middle pillar (וְגוּף עַמּוּדָא דְאֶמְצָעִיתָא), and the two legs-the two true prophets (וּתְרֵין שׁוֹקִין תְּרֵין נְבִיאֵי קְשׁוֹט), and the Tzaddik-the sign of the covenant between them (וְצַדִּיק אוֹת בְּרִית בֵּינַיְיהוּ). The Mishkan-the lower Shekhinta, encompassed from all these rectifications of the body The side of the Mishkan-this is Metatron, the maidservant of the Matronita-about her it is said (Bereshit 2:23) (צֶלַע הַמִּשְׁכָּן דָּא מטטרו''ן, שִׁפְחָה דְמַטְרוֹנִיתָא עַלָהּ אִתְּמַר עִִצֶם מֵעֲצָמַי), “the essence of the heavens for purity” (Exodus 24:10) (עִִצֶם הַשָּׁמַיִם לָטֹהַר). The Ark indeed-this is the heart, a burning fire, included of the thirty-two paths (אָרוֹן וַדַּאי דָא לֵ''ב, נוּר דָּלִיק, כְּלִיל ל''ב נְתִיבוֹת), and it is Shabbat, and in it is the upper Shekhinta, which is the Torah of the wise, and by it the heart understands (וְאִיהוּ שַׁבָּת, וּבֵיהּ שְׁכִינְתָּא עִלָּאָה, דְאִיהִי תּוֹרַת חָכָם, וּבָה לֵב מֵבִין), and it is the extra Neshama of Shabbat, and it is the freedom of Shabbat, because of which the masters of Gehinnom do not rule over the world (וְאִיהוּ נְשָׁמָה יְתֵירָה דְשַׁבָּת, וְאִיהוּ חֵירוּ דְּשַׁבָּת, דִּבְגִינָהּ לָא שָׁלְטִין מָארֵי דְגֵיהִנָּם עַל עָלְמָא). And what is Gehinnom in the body?-this is the liver, and it is the copper altar, to remove it from the world, and in the liver is bile-Gehinnom that burns in it
The kapporet of the heart-this is the spreading of the shelter of peace; about it is said “He who spreads the shelter of peace” (כַּפֹּרֶת הַלֵּב דָּא פְרִישׁוּ דְסֻכַּת שָׁלוֹם, דְּאִתְּמַר בָּהּ הַפּוֹרֵשׂ סֻכַּת שָׁלוֹם). The Menorah-this is the head, and its seven lamps upon it-these are the two ears, and the two eyes, and the two nostrils, and the mouth And the Menorah is to the right, and it is said about it: “One who wishes to become wise should turn south,” because there is the brain in the head, and Chokhmah dwells in the brain, and in it the Menorah shines, because it is oil-about it is said (Psalms 133:2) The wings of the lungs-about them it is said (Exodus 25:20) “And the Keruvim shall be spreading wings above, covering with their wings over the kapporet”-this is the kapporet of the heart
The Table-this is the heart (פָּתוֹרָא דָא לִבָּא), and about it is said “The table is in the north,” and this is the lower Shekhinta (וְאִתְּמַר בֵּיהּ שֻׁלְחָן בַּצָּפוֹן, וְדָא שְׁכִינְתָּא תַּתָּאָה). She is the Menorah when She takes from the right, and Chokhmah rests upon Her, and about Her it is said: “One who wishes to become wise should turn south” (וְאִיהִי מְנַרְתָּא כַּד נָטְלָא מִימִינָא, וְשַׁרְיָא עֲלָהּ חָכְמָה, וְאִתְּמַר בָּהּ הָרוֹצֶה לְהַחְכִּים יַדְרִים). And when She takes from the left, which is Gevurah, She is called “Table,” and about Her it is said: “One who wishes to become rich should turn north,” and Binah rests upon Her-about Her it is said (Proverbs 10:22) “The blessing of Hashem, it makes rich” (וְכַד נָטְלָא מִשְּׂמָאלָא דְאִיהִי גְבוּרָה, אִתְקְרִיאַת פָּתוֹרָא, וְאִתְּמַר בָּהּ הָרוֹצֶה לְהַעֲשִׁיר יַצְפִּין, וְשַׁרְיָא עֲלָהּ בִּינָה, דְאִתְּמַר בָּהּ בִּרְכַּת יהו''ה הִיא תַעֲשִׁיר). And when She takes from the body, which is the middle pillar, She is called “Mishkan,” included from both of them
Another matter: “And the wise”-these are the four directions of the world They shall shine-these are the four angels (יַזְהִירוּ אִלֵּין אַרְבַּע מַלְאָכַיָּא), which are Mikha’el, Gavri’el, Refa’el, and Nuri’el (דְאִינוּן מִיכָאֵ״ל גַּבְרִיאֵ״ל רְפָאֵ״ל נוּרִיאֵ״ל), as the brightness-this is the precious throne (כְּזֹהַר דָּא כָּרְסַיָּא יְקָרָא).
Another matter: “And the wise”-these are the lips (דָּבָר אַחֵר וְהַמַּשְׂכִּילִים אִלֵּין שִׂפְוָון), about which it is said: “And our lips are praise” (וְשִׂפְתוֹתֵינוּ שֶׁבַח). And with them Alef, Ḥet, Heh, ‘Ayin (Gutturals), Bet, Vav, Mem, Peh (Labials), Gimel, Yod, Kaf, Kuf (Palatals), Dalet, Tet, Lamed, Nun, Tav (Linguals), Zayin, Samekh, Shin, Resh, Tzadi (Sibilants) (וּבְהוֹן אחה״ע בומ״ף גיכ״ק דטלנ״ת זסשר״ץ), which serve in the mouth with the twenty-two letters (דִּמְשַׁמְּשִׁין בְּפוּמָא בְּכ״ב אַתְוָון). And with them is the cutting of the speech of prayer, to praise the King They shall shine-these are the eyes (יַזְהִירוּ אִלֵּין עַיְינִין), about which it is said: “And our eyes shine like the sun and like the moon” (דְּאִתְּמַר בְּהוֹן וְעִינֵינוּ מְאִירוֹת כַּשֶּׁמֶשׁ וְכַיָּרֵחַ). Seven layers of the eye are they (שִׁבְעָה גִלְדֵּי עִינָא אִינוּן), in which shine the seven wandering stars (דְּנַהֲרִין בְּהוֹן שִׁבְעָה כֹּכְבֵי לֶכֶת), and the sun and the moon (וְשִׁמְשָׁא וְסִיהֲרָא). About them it is said: “And our eyes shine like the sun and like the moon” (וְאִתְּמַר בְּהוֹן וְעִינֵינוּ מְאִירוֹת כַּשֶּׁמֶשׁ וְכַיָּרֵחַ).
Behold, nine (הָא תִּשְׁעָה), in the manner of the nine Nekudot of the Orayta (כְּגַוְונָא דְתֵשַׁע נְקוּדִין דְּאוֹרַיְיתָא). And behold, the sun and moon are included with the seven stars-how then are they reckoned as an addition to the seven? Rather, the sun is female in relation to the sun (אֶלָּא חַמָּה אִיהִי נוּקְבָא לְגַבֵּי שִׁמְשָׁא), the moon is female in relation to the moon (לְבָנָה נוּקְבָא לְגַבֵּי יָרֵחַ). And the sun and the moon shine to the seven wandering stars (וְשֶׁמֶשׁ וְיָרֵחַ אִינוּן נַהֲרִין לְשִׁבְעָה כֹּכְבֵי לֶכֶת), which are as the seven layers of the eye (דְּאִינוּן כְּשִׁבְעָה גִלְדֵּי עִינָא). And the sun and the moon-behold, nine The pupil of the eye-the tenth of them, the bride encompassed from all
