Chapter Three (פֶּרֶק שְׁלִישִׁי)

Immediately when it arose in His thought to create the world of Tikkun (תֵּכֶף שֶׁעָלָה בְּמַחֲשַׁבְתּוֹ לִבְרוֹא עוֹלַם הַתִּיקּוּן), He rectified and elevated the aforementioned Adam Kadmon in general (תִּקֵּן וְהֶעֱלָה אָדָם קַדְמוֹן סְתָם הַנִּזְכָּר), to its fitting place (אֶל מְקוֹמוֹ הָרָאוּי לוֹ), and brought forth a thread of Ein Sof (וְהוֹצִיא חוּט שֶׁל אֵין סוֹף), from the Yesod of the upper half of the garment (מִיסוֹד שֶׁל חֲצִי הַמַּלְבּוּשׁ הָעֶלְיוֹן), and it entered within the Keter (וְנִכְנַס תּוֹךְ הַכֶּתֶר), which is called Adam Kadmon in general (הַנִּקְרָא אָדָם קַדְמוֹן סְתָם), to give it vitality and the form of Metakla [balance] (לָתֵת לוֹ חַיּוּת וְצוּרָה שֶׁל מַתְקְלָא). For the Metakla [balance] is hidden within the Yesod of the upper half of the garment (שֶׁהַמַּתְקְלָא הִיא גְּנוּזָה בְּתוֹךְ הַיְסוֹד שֶׁל חֲצִי הַמַּלְבּוּשׁ הָעֶלְיוֹן), within which is hidden the light from which emerged the thread of Ein Sof that enlivens this Adam (שֶׁבְּתוֹכוֹ גָּנוּז הָאוֹר שֶׁמִּמֶּנּוּ יָצָא חוּט אֵין סוֹף הַמְחַיֶּה הָאָדָם הַזֶּה), and gives him the power of the Metakla [balance] (וְנוֹתֵן לוֹ כֹּחַ הַמַּתְקְלָא). And just as אצל the human being who dies (וּכְמוֹ אֵצֶל הַבֶּן אָדָם שֶׁמֵּת), his flesh and bones decay (יִרְקַב בְּשָׂרוֹ וַעֲצָמוֹתָיו), and nothing remains from him except the Luz bone (וְלֹא יִשָּׁאֵר מִמֶּנּוּ אֶלָּא עֶצֶם הַלּוּז), from which he shall arise at the time of the resurrection of the dead (שֶׁמִּמֶּנּוּ יַעֲמֹד לִזְמַן תְּחִיַּת הַמֵּתִים), so כביכול here (כָּךְ כִּבְיָכוֹל בְּכָאן), the Holy One blessed be He created worlds of Ein Sof (בָּרָא קֻבְּ״ה עוֹלָמוֹת אֵין סוֹף), and all of them were included within the world of the garment (וְנִכְלְלוּ כֻּלָּם בְּעוֹלַם הַמַּלְבּוּשׁ), and even the Metakla [balance] was hidden within it (וַאֲפִלּוּ הַמַּתְקְלָא הָיָה גָּנוּז בְּתוֹכוֹ), until the time when it would be needed (עַד עֵת שֶׁיִּצְטָרֵךְ לוֹ), namely in the world of Tikkun (דְּהַיְנוּ בְּעוֹלַם הַתִּיקּוּן). And He made the sphere of the Tehiru (וְעָשָׂה כַּדּוּר הַטְּהִירוּ), within which during the time of Tohu there were death (שֶׁבִּזְמַן תֹּהוּ הָיוּ [מ״ק־כ] בַּכַּדּוּר הַזֶּה מֵתִים), and He separated this sphere (וְהִבְדִּיל הַכַּדּוּר הַזֶּה), between the worlds of life above it (בֵּין עוֹלָמוֹת הַחַיִּים שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה הֵימֶנּוּ), and between the death and nullification below it and within it (וּבֵין הַמָּוֶת וְהַבִּטּוּל שֶׁלְּמַטָּה מִמֶּנּוּ וּבְתוֹכוֹ). And the world of the garment itself (וְעוֹלַם הַמַּלְבּוּשׁ בְּעַצְמוֹ), was the Luz bone (הוּא הָיָה הַלּוּז), through which the Holy One blessed be He revived (שֶׁהֶחֱיָה הקב״ה), the dead of the world of Tohu (הַמֵּתִים שֶׁל עוֹלַם הַתֹּהוּ מִמֶּנּוּ), and gives to their Neshamah vitality and the form of the Metakla [balance] (וְנוֹתֵן לַנְּשָׁמָה שֶׁלָּהֶם חַיּוּת וְצוּרַת הַמַּתְקְלָא), through the agency of this thread (בְּאֶמְצָעוּת הַחוּט הַזֶּה). And if there were not many partitions and curtains intervening (וְאִם לֹא הָיוּ כַּמָּה פַּרְגוֹדִין וּפָרוֹכֶת מַפְסִיקִין), man would never die (לֹא הָיָה מֵת אָדָם מֵעוֹלָם). And in the future to come (וּלְעָתִיד לָבוֹא), the Holy One blessed be He will revive their bodies (יְחַיֶּה הקב״ה הַגּוּפִים שֶׁלָּהֶם), namely the shattered vessels (דְּהַיְנוּ הַכֵּלִים הַנִּשְׁבָּרִים), and then from the Luz bone, which is the light of the snatchings (וְאָז מִן הַלּוּז שֶׁהוּא אוֹר חֲטִיפִין), they shall live through the power of the Novlot [fallen drippings] of the Keter (יִחְיוּ בְּכֹחַ אוֹר נוֹבְלוֹת הַכֶּתֶר), preserved for the necessity of the resurrection of the dead (הַמְשֻׁמָּר לְצֹרֶךְ תְּחִיַּת הַמֵּתִים). And then in the eighth millennium (וְאָז בָּאֶלֶף הַשְּׁמִינִי), Ein Sof will establish all the worlds within the First Cause (יַעֲמִיד אֵין סוֹף כָּל הָעוֹלָמוֹת בְּתוֹךְ הַסִּבָּה הָרִאשׁוֹנָה), and then just as the shattered vessels shall be (וְאָז כְּמוֹ שֶׁיִּהְיוּ הַכֵּלִים הַנִּשְׁבָּרִים), so shall be the bodies of בני האדם (כָּךְ יִהְיוּ הַגּוּפוֹת שֶׁל בְּנֵי הָאָדָם), and concerning that time it is said (וְעַל אוֹתוֹ הַזְּמַן נֶאֱמַר): “He will swallow up death forever” (בִּלַּע הַמָּוֶת לָנֶצַח) (Isaiah 25). And it is said (וְנֶאֱמַר): “And it shall be that the one remaining in Zion and the one left in Jerusalem shall be called holy, everyone written for life in Jerusalem” (וְהָיָה הַנִּשְׁאָר בְּצִיּוֹן וְהַנּוֹתָר בִּירוּשָׁלַיִם קָדוֹשׁ יֵאָמֵר לוֹ כָּל הַכָּתוּב לַחַיִּים בִּירוּשָׁלָיִם) (Isaiah 4). Amen (אָמֵן).
