Mishnah 11 (מִשְׁנָה י״א)

And treasures of gold and silver from the days of David until Tzidkiyah (וְאוֹצָרוֹת שֶׁל זָהָב וָכֶסֶף מִימֵי דָּוִד וְעַד צִדְקִיָּה), and until Israel was exiled to Bavel (וְעַד שֶׁגָּלוּ יִשְׂרָאֵל לְבָבֶל): shields of gold, very many myriads (מָגִנִּים שֶׁל זָהָב רַבֵּי רְבָבוֹת), and of silver without measure (וְשֶׁל כֶּסֶף לְשֵׁאֵין לָהֶם מִדָּה). Pearls and precious stones, one thousand thousands (מַרְגָּלִיּוֹת וַאֲבָנִים טוֹבוֹת אֶלֶף אֲלָפִים), and three hundred thousand and fifty-three thousand (וּשְׁלוֹשׁ מֵאוֹת אֶלֶף וַחֲמִשִּׁים וּשְׁלוֹשׁ אֲלָף). All these are hidden and concealed in the wall of Bavel (כָּל אֵלֶּה צְפוּנִים וּגְנוּזִים בְּחוֹמַת בָּבֶל), and in Tel Baruk beneath the great willow that is in Bavel (וּבְתֵל בָּרוּק לְתַחַת הָעֲרָבָה הַגְּדוֹלָה שֶׁבְּבָבֶל), where they used to hang their harps (שֶׁהָיוּ תּוֹלִים עֲלֵיהֶם כִּנּוֹרוֹתֵיהֶם). And from Beit Ya’ar haLevanon [House of the Forest of Lebanon] they took gold by the measure of korin [cors], one thousand thousands and nine thousand (וּמִבֵּית יַעַר הַלְּבָנוֹן לָקְחוּ זָהָב מִדַּת כּוֹרִין אֶלֶף אֲלָפִים וְתֵשַׁע אֲלָפִים). And all the prophets and the sages and the scribes could not reckon the wealth and the glory that was in Jerusalem (וְכָל הַנְּבִיאִים וְהַחֲכָמִים וְהַסּוֹפְרִים לֹא יוּכְלוּ לַחֲשׁוֹב הָעֹשֶׁר וְהַכָּבוֹד שֶׁהָיָה בִּירוּשָׁלַיִם).
