Chapter Seventy-Eight (פֶּרֶק שִׁבְעִים וּשְׁמוֹנָה)

Behold (הִנֵּה), the Chokhmah of Ze’ir Anpin (חָכְמַת זְעֵיר), even though it was abundant in quality (אַף עַל פִּי שֶׁהָיְתָה רַבַּת הָאֵיכוּת), was small in quantity (הָיְתָה מְעַט הַכַּמּוּת), and therefore one third of a Chesed alone was sufficient for it (וְלָכֵן הִסְפִּיק לָהּ שְׁלִישׁ חֶסֶד בִּלְבַד), from the one and a half thirds that it received from Gedulah when it was revealed, as stated (מֵהַשְּׁלִישׁ וָחֵצִי שֶׁקִּבְּלָה מִגְּדוּלָה בְּהִתְגַּלוּתָהּ כָּאָמוּר). And the remaining half (וְהַחֲצִי הַנּוֹתָר), completing the one and a half thirds that it received (לְתַשְׁלוּם שְׁלִישׁ וָחֵצִי שֶׁקִּבְּלָה), it sent to the Da’at of Ze’ir Anpin (שָׁלְחָה אוֹתוֹ לְדַעַת דְּזְעֵיר), and the Da’at to the Keter (וְדַעַת לְכֶתֶר), which is the Karkefta [Skull], as stated (שֶׁהוּא קַרְקַפְתָּא כָּאָמוּר). And so too did Binah (וְכֵן עָשְׂתָה בִינָה), for one third alone was sufficient for it (שֶׁהִסְפִּיק לָהּ הַשְּׁלִישׁ אֶחָד בִּלְבַד), from the one and a half thirds that it received from Gevurah when it was revealed (מִן הַשְּׁלִישׁ וָחֵצִי שֶׁקִּבְּלָה מִגְּבוּרָה בְּהִתְגַּלוּתָהּ), and the excess half it sent to the Da’at (וְהַחֲצִי הָעוֹדֵף שָׁלְחָה לְדַעַת), and the Da’at to the Keter of Ze’ir Anpin (וְדַעַת לְכֶתֶר דְּזְעֵיר), which is the Karkefta [Skull] (שֶׁהוּא קַרְקַפְתָּא).

It follows (נִמְצָא), that the Keter of Ze’ir Anpin is complete (כֶּתֶר דְּזְעֵיר שָׁלֵם), namely (דְּהַיְנוּ), from half of a third of this third of Chesed that entered into Nukvah (מֵחֲצִי שְׁלִישׁ שֶׁל שְׁלִישׁ חֶסֶד זֶה שֶׁנִּכְנַס בְּנוּקְבֵיהּ), and the small excess mentioned above (וּמְעַט יוֹתֵר כָּאָמוּר), and also half of a third from one third that is in the covered Tiferet (גַּם חֲצִי שְׁלִישׁ מִשְּׁלִישׁ אֶחָד שֶׁיֵּשׁ בְּת״ת מְכֻסֶּה), now that it remained revealed through the departure of Imma (עַתָּה שֶׁנִּשְׁאֲרָה מְגֻלָּה בְּסִלּוּק אִמָּא), for this one and a half thirds was sufficient (הִסְפִּיק לָזֶה הַשְּׁלִישׁ וָחֵצִי שְׁלִישׁ), and half of the second third went to the Keter (וַחֲצִי הַשְּׁלִישׁ הַב' הָלַךְ לוֹ אֶל כֶּתֶר), thus there is one complete third for the Keter and a small excess (הֲרֵי שְׁלִישׁ שָׁלֵם לַכֶּתֶר וּמְעַט יוֹתֵר). And also (וְגַם), from the Netzach, Hod, Yesod of Imma (מנה״י אִמָּא), which entered into Ze’ir Anpin to make him grow (שֶׁנִּכְנְסוּ בְּתוֹךְ זְעֵיר לְגַדְּלוֹ), it follows (נִמְצָא), that now (כִּי עַתָּה), the lower half of the Tiferet of Imma (חֲצִי ת״ת הַתַּחְתּוֹן שֶׁל אִמָּא), comes upon the skull of the head of Ze’ir Anpin (יָבוֹא עַל גֻּלְגֹּלֶת רֹאשׁ זְעֵיר), and also becomes one third for him (וְנַעֲשָׂה לוֹ גַּם כֵּן שְׁלִישׁ אֶחָד מִמֶּנּוּ). And furthermore (וְעוֹד), the two half-thirds (הַב' חֲצָאֵי שְׁלִישׁ), which Chokhmah and Binah now sent to him (שֶׁשָּׁלְחוּ לוֹ עַתָּה חָכְמָה וּבִינָה), from the one and a half thirds that were in them (מִן הַשְּׁלִישׁ וָחֵצִי שֶׁהָיָה בָהֶם), for one third of the Kli [Vessel] of Chesed was sufficient for them, as stated (שֶׁהִסְפִּיק לָהֶם הַשְּׁלִישׁ מִכְּלִי הַחֶסֶד כָּאָמוּר), behold (הֲרֵי), here there are three complete thirds (כָּאן שְׁלֹשָׁה שְׁלִישִׁים שְׁלֵמִים).
