Chapter Seventy-Seven (פֶּרֶק שִׁבְעִים וְשִׁבְעָה)

And behold (וְהִנֵּה), afterward Imma ascended from this Harchanata [Inclining] that was mentioned (אַחֲרֵי כֵן אִמָּא נִתְעַלְּתָה מֵהַרְכַּנְתָּא זוֹ הָאֲמוּרָה), and returned to her original place (וְשָׁבָה לִמְקוֹמָהּ הָרִאשׁוֹן), in such a manner (בְּאוֹפֶן), that from now on Gedulah and Gevurah also remained revealed (שֶׁמֵּעַתָּה נִשְׁאֲרוּ מְגֻלִּים גַּם כֵּן גְּדוּלָה וּגְבוּרָה), which had been covered by her Yesod, as mentioned above (שֶׁהָיוּ מְכֻסִּים מִיסוֹד דִּידָהּ כַּנִּזְכָּר לְמַעְלָה). And at that time (וּבְאוֹתוֹ פַּעַם), each Middah retained an amount corresponding to itself, as stated (הֶחֱזִיקָה מִדָּה מִדָּה כְּמוֹתָהּ כָּאָמוּר), and now one Middah (וְעַתָּה מִדָּה אַחַת), “could no longer hide him” (לֹא יָכְלָה עוֹד הַצְפִּינוֹ בּוֹ) (Exodus 2:3), namely the one complete Chesed (הַחֶסֶד הָאֶחָד שָׁלֵם), from those that the Da’at of Ze’ir Anpin had distributed to them, as stated (מֵאוֹתָם שֶׁחִלֵּק לָהֶם דַּעַת דְּזְעֵיר כָּאָמוּר). Likewise (וְכֵן), the covered third of Tiferet (שְׁלִישׁ שֶׁל ת״ת הַמְכֻסֶּה), which retained a corresponding third (שֶׁהֶחֱזִיק שְׁלִישׁ כְּמוֹהוּ), could no longer contain that first third of Chesed that had been within it (לֹא הָיָה יָכוֹל לְהָכִיל הַשְּׁלִישׁ שֶׁל חֶסֶד הַהוּא הָרִאשׁוֹן שֶׁהָיָה בּוֹ), in such a manner (בְּאוֹפֶן), that from Gedulah there now emerged (שֶׁיָּצָא מִגְּדוּלָה מֵעַתָּה), after the departure of Imma (אַחֲרֵי סִלּוּק אִמָּא), one half of a Chesed that had been within it (חֲצִי חֶסֶד אֶחָד שֶׁהָיָה בּוֹ), and then it ascended above to the Chokhmah of Ze’ir Anpin (וְאָז עָלָה לְמַעְלָה לְחָכְמַת זְעֵיר), and likewise one half of a Chesed emerged from Gevurah (וְיָצָא גַּם כֵּן חֲצִי חֶסֶד אֶחָד מִגְּבוּרָה), and ascended above to the Binah of Ze’ir Anpin (וְעָלָה לְמַעְלָה לְבִינַת זְעֵיר). However (אָמְנָם), this Chokhmah and Binah (חָכְמָה וּבִינָה אֵלּוּ), did not retain this complete half-Chesed for themselves (לֹא הֶחֱזִיקוּ לְעַצְמָם חֲצִי חֶסֶד זֶה שָׁלֵם), rather (רַק), they sent from it to the Da’at and Keter (שָׁלְחוּ מִמֶּנּוּ לְדַעַת וְכֶתֶר), as will be explained shortly (כְּמוֹ שֶׁיִּתְבָּאֵר בַּסָּמוּךְ), and half of a third of a third of a Chesed emerged (וְיָצָא חֲצִי שְׁלִישׁ שֶׁל שְׁלִישׁ חֶסֶד), which had been in Tiferet, as stated (שֶׁהָיָה בְּת״ת כָּאָמוּר), and immediately ascended above through the Da’at (וְעָלָה דֶּרֶךְ הַדַּעַת לְמַעְלָה תֵּכֶף), and strengthened the Karkefta [Skull] of Ze’ir Anpin (וְהֶחֱזִיק הַקַּרְקַפְתָּא דְּזְעֵיר). And at that time (וּבְעֵת הַהִיא), there also ascended (עָלָה גַּם כֵּן), the larger portion of the third of Chesed (הַחֵלֶק הַמְרֻבֶּה מִשְּׁלִישׁ חֶסֶד), which had already been divided into two, as stated (שֶׁכְּבָר נֶחְלַק לִשְׁנַיִם כָּאָמוּר), which remained from the revealed Tiferet (שֶׁנּוֹתַר מִת״ת הַמְגֻלֶּה), and it too ascended through the Da’at of Ze’ir Anpin (וְעָלָה גַּם הוּא דֶּרֶךְ הַדַּעַת דְּזְעֵיר), and it too strengthened his Karkefta [Skull] (וְהֶחֱזִיק גַּם הוּא קַרְקַפְתָּא דִידֵיהּ), with a greater and more powerful strengthening (בְּחִזּוּק יוֹתֵר גָּדוֹל וְעָצוּם).
