Chapter 23, Section 1 (פֶּרֶק כ״ג אוֹת א׳)
1. Go and say to the Nasi (א. לֵךְ אֱמוֹר לַנָּשִׂיא): For all the gatekeepers of the six entrances to the Heikhalot (לְכָל שׁוֹמְרֵי שִׁשָּׁה פִּתְחֵי הֵיכָלוֹת), it is permitted to mention their names (יֵשׁ רְשׁוּת לְהַזְכִּיר אֶת שְׁמוֹתֵיהֶם), and to approach them (וְלִגּוֹעַ בָּהֶם). But the gatekeepers of the entrance to the seventh Heikhal (אֲבָל שׁוֹמְרֵי פֶּתַח הֵיכָל הַשְּׁבִיעִי), from the mere sound of their names, a person becomes bewildered (מִמִּשְׁמַע שֶׁלָּהֶם מְבוֹהָל אָדָם)-how could he possibly touch them? (הֵיכָן יוּכַל לִגּוֹעַ בָּהֶם). For each and every one of them (כִּי כָּל אֶחָד וְאֶחָד מֵהֶם), his name is called “Molcho shel Olam” (שְׁמוֹ נִקְרָא עַל שֵׁם מַלְכּוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם). And I have not yet explained them (וְלֹא פֵרַשְׁתִּי אוֹתָם), but now that you say to me ‘Explain’ (עַכְשָׁיו שֶׁאַתֶּם אוֹמְרִים לִי פָּרוֹשׁ):
Come, stand on your feet (בּוֹאוּ וַעִמְדוּ עַל רַגְלֵיכֶם), each one of you (כָּל אֶחָד מִכֶּם), when his name emerges from my mouth (כְּשֶׁשְּׁמוֹ יוֹצֵא מִפִּי), bow and fall upon your faces (כִּרְעוּ וּפִלּוּ עַל פְּנֵיכֶם). Immediately all the mighty ones of the fellowship came (מִיָּד בָּאוּ כָּל גִּבּוֹרֵי חֲבוּרָה), and all the glorious ones of the academy (וְכָל אַדִּירֵי יְשִׁיבָה), and they stood upon their feet before Rabbi Nechunyah ben haKanah (וְעָמְדוּ עַל רַגְלֵיהֶם לִפְנֵי רַבִּי נְחוּנְיָא בֶּן הַקָּנָה), and the scribes were writing (וְהַסּוֹפְרִים כּוֹתְבִים), and they were falling [to the ground] (וְהֵם נוֹפְלִים).
