Chapter 33, Section 5 (פֶּרֶק ל״ג אוֹת ה׳)

5. And in those years when the Mashiach is imprisoned (ה. וּבְאוֹתָן שָׁנִים שֶׁהַמָּשִׁיחַ נֶחְבָּשׁ), the mighty ones of Torah in the city are gathered in (נֶאֱסָפִין גִּבּוֹרֵי תּוֹרָה שֶׁבָּעִיר), and men of faith are annulled (וּבְטֵלִין אַנְשֵׁי אֱמוּנָה), and they cease from the cities of wisdom (וּפוֹסְקִין מֵעָיָרוֹת חָכְמָה). And a generation stands that is empty (וְעוֹמֵד דּוֹר רֵיקָן), without roshei yeshivot to protect you (וְלֹא רָאשֵׁי יְשִׁיבוֹת לְהָגֵן לָכֶם), and no faithful shepherds and pious ones to annul the decree (וְלֹא רֵעִים נֶאֱמָנִים וַחֲסִידִים לְבַטֵּל הַגְּזֵרָה). And the heavens are locked (וְנִנְעָלִים שְׁחָקִים), and the gates of sustenance are sealed (וְנִסְגָּרִים שַׁעֲרֵי פַּרְנָסָה)-all this for seven years (כָּל אֵלּוּ שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים). But in the final year, when the Mashiach goes out from the prison house (אֲבָל שָׁנָה הָאַחֲרוֹנָה שֶׁהַמָּשִׁיחַ יוֹצֵא מִבֵּית הָאֲסוּרִין), a generation goes and falls into the grave while still alive (דּוֹר הוֹלֵךְ וְנוֹפֵל בַּקֶּבֶר בְּחַיָּיו), because of the decrees that have been decreed upon them (מִפְּנֵי הַגְּזֵרוֹת שֶׁנִּגְזְרוּ עֲלֵיהֶם), and many die before their time under the oppression (וַהֲרַבֵּה מֵתִים בְּלֹא שְׁנוֹתָם בַּשִּׁעְבּוּד).
