Chapter 34, Section 4 (פֶּרֶק ל״ד אוֹת ד׳)

4. And even the Holy One, blessed be He, does not move from His place at that time (ד. וְאַף הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא אֵינוֹ שו״ק מִמְּקוֹמוֹ בְּאוֹתָהּ שָׁעָה), they encircle the world from its four directions (מַקִּיפִין אֶת הָעוֹלָם מֵאַרְבַּע רוּחוֹתָיו), and each and every one of Israel has nowhere to flee (וְכָל אֶחָד וְאֶחָד מִיִּשְׂרָאֵל אֵין לוֹ לִבְרֹחַ), as it is said: “Where shall I go from Your spirit?” (Tehillim 139:8) (שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר: אָנָה אֵלֵךְ מֵרוּחֶךָ). This is what they said: “Woe to the generation in which the Mashiach is revealed” (זֶהוּ שֶׁאָמְרוּ: אוֹי לַדּוֹר שֶׁהַמָּשִׁיחַ נִגְלֶה בּוֹ).
