Chapter 37, Section 3 (פֶּרֶק ל״ז אוֹת ג׳)

3. And when Gog and Magog come upon Israel (ג. וְכֵיוָן שֶׁבָּא גוֹג וּמָגוֹג עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל), the Holy One Blessed Be He goes out with every kind of affliction to wage war with them (הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא יוֹצֵא בְּכָל מִינֵי פּוּרְעָנִיּוֹת לְהִלָּחֵם עִמּוֹ), and the ministering angels go forth (וְיוֹצְאִין מַלְאֲכֵי הַשָּׁרֵת), as it is said: “And I will enter into judgment with him with pestilence and with blood…” (Ezekiel 38:22) (שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר: וְנִשְׁפַּטְתִּי אִתּוֹ בְּדֶבֶר וּבְדָם). And the Holy One Blessed Be He strikes them with a great blow (וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מַכֶּה אוֹתָם הַכָּאָה גְּדוֹלָה), and they all fall before Him (וְכֻלָּם נוֹפְלִים מִפָּנָיו), as it is said: “And this shall be the plague…” (Zechariah 14:12) (שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר: וְזֹאת תִּהְיֶה הַמַּגֵּפָה וְגוֹ'. And Israel will not need to chop wood (וְאֵין צְרִיכִין יִשְׂרָאֵל לַחְטֹב עֵצִים), except from their supplies and from their vessels (אֶלָּא מֵאֲסַפְקְנֵיהֶם וּמִכֵּלֵיהֶם). And after Gog and Magog, Israel shall dwell in security (וּלְאַחַר גוֹג וּמָגוֹג יֵשְׁבוּ יִשְׂרָאֵל לָבֶטַח), as it is said: “And they shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more destruction” (Zechariah 14:11) (שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר: וְיָשְׁבוּ בָהּ וְחֵרֶם לֹא יִהְיֶה עוֹד), and it is said: “The Redeemer of Israel, His Holy One” (Isaiah 49:7) (וְנֶאֱמַר: גּוֹאֵל יִשְׂרָאֵל קְדוֹשׁוֹ).
