And the secret of the Chayot, their stature “And their appearance, and their height, and fear was upon them, and their bodies…” “And their appearance”-the four Chayot of the lower Merkava “And their height”-the four Chayot of the middle Merkava “And their bodies”-the four Chayot of the third Merkava And all are twelve (וְכֻלְּהוּ י״ב). They are filled with eyes, all around the four-YHVH, YHVH, YHVH
Masters of the stature are inscribed in them in prayer, in this place Whoever bows, bows in “Barukh” (אֶלָּא כָּל הַכּוֹרֵעַ כּוֹרֵעַ בְּבָרוּךְ). Whoever straightens, straightens in the Name Four straightenings, and four bowings (זְקִיפוֹת אַרְבָּעָה. Here it hints, in these straightenings and bowings Bringing forward and back to Him to Whom the four directions belong Raising and lowering to Him to Whom heaven and earth belong These are six directions-heaven, earth, and four winds Corresponding to three first blessings and three last In “He makes peace in His heights,” four-bowing and straightening to the left, bowing and straightening to the right This is giving peace to his left and right, to his Master’s left, and to his Master’s right
These are twelve, between bowings and straightenings In them seventy-two eyes Six bowings-in them eighteen shakings, three each time: head, body, and tail must bow In eighteen links rise seventy-two In these seventy-two eyes of Kudsha Berikh Hu, shine seventy-two wings of the Shekhinta She rises upon them, and is called Amidah At first it is falling, and needs to be raised by the Name YHVH, in Chai Olamin, and in four straightenings in six blessings This is Tiferet, including three first blessings and three last And bowing in Chai Olamin-this is Vav and Vav Whoever bows, bows in “Barukh,” whoever straightens, straightens in the Name YHVH The middle pillar and the Tzaddik, Vav and Vav Above is Binah, the son of Yah, hinted in “And it journeyed, and it came, and it pitched”-the upper Vav The son of Yah holds in straightening and bowing, and all rise in the eighteen blessings of prayer
Four bowings in Adonai, four straightenings in YHVH, the middle pillar And the Shekhinta, Chai Olamin, binds them And this is YAHDVNHY, Amen, in every blessing of the eighteen blessings Eighteen times YHVH-these are the seventy-two eyes that shine in seventy-two wings, which are eighteen times Adonai And the secret of the matter: “and their appearance, and their height, and their bodies” (Ezekiel 1) “Their appearance”-wings (וְגַבֵּיהֶן: גַּדְפִּין). “Their bodies”-those above them Filled with eyes all around the four, all square And all is truth: seventy faces for the Orayta They ascend in the calculation of Yabok: Adonai in deed, YHVH in speech, Ehyeh in thought
In every eye is the measure of a thumb This is the middle Vav Two joints in the thumb are Yod Yod Corresponding to the nose-Vav Corresponding to the two nostrils-Yod Yod They ascend as Yod Heh-this is “And He formed” (וְסַלְּקִין יוֹד הֵא. The measure of every limb is Yod Heh, in every place of His dominion, in every limb As in “He spreads His wings, takes it, carries it on His pinions” (Deuteronomy 32) There is no limb in all His Merkava that is not in His image And in every place is found: “Their faces and their wings were separated above” (Ezekiel 1) Corresponding to the open sections of Tefillin-Torah And below they are closed sections, corresponding to YAHDVNHY upon them-in their faces and wings
Kudsha Berikh Hu marks Yisrael to receive them, in prayer, to be friends with them To bow with all their limbs in eighteen blessings of prayer To crown Him upon them with “Amen” (לְאַמְלְכָא עָלַיְיהוּ אָמֵן). And He is YAHDVNHY, in every one of their limbs And Kudsha Berikh Hu said: Whoever is not marked before you, to bow in “Barukh” and straighten in YHVH, in the stature of the body-his prayer shall not enter My palace, which is Adonai Do not receive his words upon your wings and your faces For whoever prays in Adonai, and joins to YHVH the faces of the angels-“their faces and wings separated upward”-YAHDVNHY, with words of prayer that go out from the mouth of man And great is the one who answers Amen, more than the one who blesses For with Adonai–YHVH in prayer-“their faces and wings separated” (דִּלְגַּבֵּי אֲדֹנָי יְהוָֹה בִּצְּלוֹתָא, וּפְנֵיהֶם וְכַנְפֵיהֶם פְּרוּדוֹת). Corresponding: YHVH in faces, Adonai in wings “One Keruv from this side, and one Keruv from that side” (Exodus 25) But when the Shaliach Tzibbur repeats the prayer, and answers Amen, he is in the second joining The two Names are joined in the second union At first: “The loops shall correspond, one opposite the other” (Exodus 26)-the knot of the fingers But in Amen: “And the Mishkan shall be one”-a woman joined to her sister (Exodus 26)
Third Tikkun: the order of speech of prayer Some say: the chamber of speech In it the Chayot of fire speak And this is: “And I saw as the appearance of Chashmal, as the appearance of fire, a house around it” (Ezekiel 1) This is the secret of Chashmal These are the Chayot of fire, at times silent and at times speaking Those that are silent-this is for the Sefer Torah At the time when the speech goes out from the mouth of the reader, it is considered for them as though they are receiving the Orayta at Mount Sinai And at the time when He said “Anochi,” no voice was heard, and no other speech of the Chayot, but only His
