The Second Tikkun (תִּקּוּנָא תִּנְיָינָא)p2-3

This is the Twenty-Second and Twenty-Third Tikkun

In the beginning He created Elohim (בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים), “In the beginning He created the goat” - this is the ram of Yitzḥak (בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָ״א תַּיִ״שׁ דָּא אֵילוֹ דְיִצְחָק). In the beginning there is fire for the burnt offering of Yitzḥak And the secret of the matter: and concerning these three Gilgulim it is said “How beautiful are your steps in sandals, daughter of a noble one” (Song of Songs 7) (וְרָזָא דְמִלָּה וְעַל אֵלֵּין תְּלַת גִּלְגּוּלִין אִתְּמַר מַה יָּפוּ פְעָמַיִךְ בַּנְּעָלִים בַּת נָדִיב), “And this was formerly” - this is Imma Ila’ah, the World to Come (Ruth 4) (וְזֹאת לְפָנִים דָּא אִמָּא עִלָּאָה עָלְמָא דָּאתֵי). Another explanation: regarding it, there is need of ḥalitzah [removal of the sandal], and this is what is written “Remove your shoes” (Exodus 3) And if not, they have no permission for the exalted spirit to ascend to the World to Come Therefore, on Yom ha-Kippurim [the Day of Atonements], wearing the sandal is forbidden

“Behold the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” (Bereshit 22:7). A voice went forth and said: “From the six days of Creation, the Akedah [binding] of Yitzḥak [Isaac] was prepared” (נָפַק קָלָא וְאָמַר מִשִּׁית יוֹמֵי בְּרֵאשִׁית אִתְבְּרֵי לַעֲקֵדָה דְיִצְחָק). For there is no offering that nullifies death like the Akedah [binding] of Yitzḥak [Isaac], concerning which it is said, “And he bound Yitzḥak his son” (בְּגִין דְּלָא אִית קָרְבָּן דְּבַטֵּיל מוֹתָנָא כַּעֲקֵדָה דְיִצְחָק, דְּאִתְּמַר בֵּיהּ וַיַּעֲקוֹד אֶת יִצְחָק בְּנוֹ) (Bereshit 22:9). The attribute of Din [judgment], the Angel of Death, was bound above And he had no permission to approach the Great Court, which is Gevurah [might], to demand judgment And this Akedah [binding] is beneficial for the exile, for Mashiach ben Yosef was destined to be killed And a voice went forth from that time: “Do not lay your hand upon the lad, nor do anything to him” (Bereshit 22) Because mercy prevailed over judgment And the secret of the matter: “His right hand has saved him, and afterward His holy arm” (Psalms 98) That the right overcame the left

When the drop of male overcomes the drop of female, it is a son (כַּד אִתְגַּבַּר טִפָּה דִדְכוּרָא עַל טִפָּה דְנוּקְבָא אִיהוּ בֵּן), mercy it is surely (רַחֲמֵי אִיהוּ וַדַּאי). But when the drop of female overcomes the male, it is a daughter and Din it is And the secret of the matter: when the male rules over the female, it causes that the right rules over the left And Yisrael will go out in mercy and not in Din And this is “For His kindness has prevailed upon us” (Psalms 117) And the secret of the matter: “Before she travailed, she brought forth a male” (Isaiah 66) And in the Name of Kudsha Berikh Hu (וּבִשְׁמָא דְקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא), YHVH is mercy (יְהוָה רַחֲמֵי), Adonai is judgment (אֲדנָי דִּינָא). When YHVH rules over Adonai, YAHDVNHY is mercy (כַּד שַׁלִּיט יְהוָה עַל אֲדנָי יאהדונה״י רַחֲמֵי אִיהוּ), and when Adonai rules over YHVH, Adonaiyah is judgment (וְכַד שַׁלִּיט אֲדנָי עַל יְהוָה אידהנוי״ה דִינָא אִיהוּ). And the secret of the matter: “Adonai Elohim will come with strength” (Isaiah 40) (וְרָזָא דְמִלָּה אֲדנָי אֱלֹהִים בְּחָזָק יָבוֹא), in the force of judgment (בִּתְקִיפוּ דְּדִינָא). And in this is the Akedah of Yitzḥak, who was bound before his father (וּבְדָא עֲקֵדָה דְיִצְחָק דְּאִתְעַקַּד קַמֵּי אֲבוֹי), and he gave himself over to death in order to save Mashiaḥ and Yisrael, that they not die (וּמָסַר גַּרְמֵיהּ לְמִיתָה בְּגִין דִּיְשֵׁזִיב מָשִׁיחַ וְיִשְׂרָאֵל דְּלָא יְמוּתוּן). And not only this, but even if Yisrael would transgress in exile with bloodshed and sexual immorality and idolatry, the merit of the fathers shields them from burning, killing, and strangulation For Avraham was tested in the fire (בְּגִין דְּאַבְרָהָם נִתְנַסָּה בְּנוּרָא), and Yitzḥak with the knife (וְיִצְחָק בְּסַכִּינָא), and Ya'akov in exile (וְיַעֲקֹב בְּגָלוּתָא). The merit of the fathers shall shield them

And furthermore, the trial of the three fathers testifies (וְעוֹד נִסְיוֹנָא דִתְלַת אֲבָהָן מְעִידִין), that no man who is Yisrael transgresses these three commandments that Kudsha Berikh Hu counted for him (דְּלָא עָבַר אָדָם דְּאִיהוּ יִשְׂרָאֵל עַל תְּלַת פִּקּוּדִין אִלֵּין דְּמַנִּי לוֹן קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא). This is what is written: “And Hashem Elohim commanded upon the man” (Bereshit 2) “And He commanded” - this is idolatry “Saying” - this is sexual immorality “Upon the man” - this is bloodshed For the Neshama of Adam entered in Gilgul in Avraham And if he had done idolatry, when he entered the fire he would have been burned This is what is written: “The graven images of their gods you shall burn with fire” (Deuteronomy 7)

Notes

  1. These Tikkunim I found in another book (אָמַר הַמַּגִּיהּ אֵלוּ הַתִּקּוּנִים מָצָאתִי בְּסֵפֶר אַחֵר), written from the twenty-first Tikkun and onward (כְּתוּבִים מֵאֶחָד וְעֶשְׂרִים תִּקּוּנִים וּלְהָלְאָה). And so that this composition not be lacking these precious and good pearls I resolved to set with pen of iron and lead the heavy chains upon the settings And kind has found its kind and has awakened
