Chapter Thirty-Eight (פֶּרֶק שְׁלוֹשִׁים וּשְׁמוֹנָה)

The letter Kaf (אוֹת כָּף): it extended from its point toward the right (שֶׁנִּתְפַּשְׁטָה מִנְּקוּדָּתָהּ לְצַד יָמִין), and a line descended from it in length (וְיָרַד מִמֶּנָּה קַו בְּאֹרֶךְ), and it went outside its boundary (וְיָצָא חוּץ מִגְּבוּלָהּ), and it folded (וְנִתְקַפֵּל), or bent (אוֹ נִכְפַּף). And because immediately upon seeing that it went out of its boundary it bent (וּמִפְּנֵי שֶׁתֵּכֶף שֶׁרָאֲתָה שֶׁיָּצְאָה מִן הַגְּבוּל נִכְפְּפָה), therefore it merited (לָכֵן זָכְתָה), and was placed at the head of the crown (וְהוּשְׂמָה בְּרֹאשׁ הַכֶּתֶר).
