Chapter 16, Section 2 (פֶּרֶק ט״ז אוֹת ב׳)

2. Rabbi Yishma‘el said (ב. אָמַר רַבִּי יִשְׁמָעֵאל): Immediately I arose (מִיָּד עָמַדְתִּי), and I assembled the entire Great and Small Sanhedrin (וְהִקְהַלְתִּי אֶת כָּל סַנְהֶדְרִין הַגְּדוֹלָה וּקְטַנָּה), to the third great courtyard (לַמָּבוֹי הַגָּדוֹל הַשְּׁלִישִׁי), which is in the House of Hashem (אֲשֶׁר בְּבֵית ה׳), and I was sitting upon a bench of pure alabaster (וַאֲנִי יוֹשֵׁב עַל סַפְסַל שֶׁל שֵׁשׁ טָהוֹר), which Elisha my father gave me (שֶׁנָּתַן לִי אֱלִישָׁע אָבִי), from the dowry of Chephetz, my mother (מֵחֶפֶץ יוֹלַדְתִּי), which she brought into him in her marriage contract (שֶׁהִכְנִיסָה לוֹ בְּכְתוּבָּתָהּ).
