3. They went and did so (ג. הָלְכוּ וְעָשׂוּ כֵּן), and placed the cloth before Rabbi Yishma’el (וְהִנִּיחוּ אֶת הַמַּטְלִית לִפְנֵי רַבִּי יִשְׁמָעֵאל). He fixed into it a twig of myrtle (נָעַץ בָּהּ מוֹרְבִיאַ שֶׁל הֲדַס), filled with Pleiton (מְלֵאָה פְּלֵיטוֹן), that was soaked in pure Afalsamon (שֶׁשָּׁרוּ בַּאֲפַלְסַמוֹן נָקִי), and they placed it upon the knees of Rabbi Nechunyah ben haKanah (וְהִנִּיחוּהוּ עַל אַרְכֻבּוֹתָיו שֶׁל רַבִּי נְחוּנְיָא בֶּן הַקָּנָה). Immediately he was released from before the Throne of Glory (מִיָּד פְּטָרוּהוּ מִלִּפְנֵי כִּסֵּא הַכָּבוֹד), where he had been sitting and gazing (שֶׁהָיָה יוֹשֵׁב וְרוֹאֶה), in wondrous pride and extraordinary sovereignty (בִּגְאַוָה מֻפְלָאָה וּשְׂרָרָה מְשֻׁנָּה), in the pride of exaltation (בְּגַּאֲוָה שֶׁל רוֹמֵמָה), and sovereignty of radiance (וּשְׂרָרָה שֶׁל זֵהָיוֹן), which are stirred before the Throne of Glory (שֶׁמִּתְרַגְּשׁוֹת לִפְנֵי כִּסֵּא הַכָּבוֹד), three times every day (שָׁלוֹשׁ פְּעָמִים בְּכָל יוֹם וָיוֹם), in the Merkavah (בַּמֶּרְכָּבָה), from the day the world was created until now, for praise (מִשֶּׁנִּבְרָא הָעוֹלָם וְעַד עַתָּה לְשָׁבַח).
