Chapter 22, Section 3 (פֶּרֶק כ״ב אוֹת ג׳)

3. Rabbi Yishma’el said (ג. אָמַר רַבִּי יִשְׁמָעֵאל): All the companions heard this (שָׁמְעוּ כָּל הַחֲבֵרִים), this measure for a man (מִדָּה זוֹ לְאָדָם), who has a ladder within his house (שֶׁיֵּשׁ לוֹ סֻלָּם בְּתוֹךְ בֵּיתוֹ), upon which he ascends and descends (שֶׁעוֹלֶה וְיוֹרֵד בּוֹ), and there is no creature who can protest against him (וְאֵין כָּל בְּרִיָּה שֶׁמְּמַחֶה בְּיָדוֹ). Blessed are You, Hashem (בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה׳), God who is wise in secrets (אֵל חָכָם הָרָזִים), and Master of the mysteries (וַאֲדוֹן הַסְּתָרִים). Amen, amen. (אָמֵן אָמֵן).
