Chapter 35, Section 2 (פֶּרֶק ל״ה אוֹת ב׳)

2. Another matter: Behold, a day is coming-against whom was it said? (ב. דָּבָר אַחֵר: הִנֵּה יוֹם בָּא-כְּנֶגֶד מִי אָמְרוּ) It was said only regarding that week in which the Mashiach comes (לֹא אָמְרוּ אֶלָּא כְּנֶגֶד אוֹתוֹ שָׁבוּעַ שֶׁהַמָּשִׁיחַ בָּא בּוֹ), during which he is hidden (שֶׁהוּא מֻטְמָן), and all those generations come (וּבָא כָּל אוֹתָן הַדּוֹרוֹת), and a deep sleep falls upon them (וְנָפְלָה עֲלֵיהֶם תַּרְדֵּמָה), and the Mashiach becomes removed from them (וְנִתְקַע מֵהֶם מָשִׁיחַ). And when the Holy One, blessed be He, desires him (וּכְשֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא רוֹצֶה בּוֹ), He shakes the four corners of the world (מְרַעֵשׁ אַרְבַּע פֵּאוֹת הָעוֹלָם), and comes and assures Israel (וּבָא וּמַבְטִיחַ אֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל), and says to them: “Already you have been redeemed” (וְאוֹמֵר לָהֶם: כְּבָר נִגְאָלְתֶּם). And men, women, and children gather (וּמִתְקַבְּצִין אֲנָשִׁים וּנְשִׁים וְטַף), and they ask for great mercy (וּמְבַקְּשִׁין רַחֲמִים גְּדוֹלִים), as it is said: “For a brief moment I forsook you…” (Yeshayahu 54:7) (שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר: בְּרֶגַע קָטֹן עֲזַבְתִּיךְ).
