Chapter 36, Section 1 (פֶּרֶק ל״ו אוֹת א׳)

1. In the final year (א. בַּשָּׁנָה הָאַחֲרוֹנָה), there shall be harsh sufferings and many decrees (יִסּוּרִין קָשִׁין וְגְזֵרוֹת רַבּוֹת), and heavy oppression (וּשִׁעְבּוּד הַכָּבֵד), and many illnesses (וְחֳלָאִים רַבִּים), and the world is transformed (וְהָעוֹלָם מִשְׁתַּנֶּה), and all taste is lost (וְטַעַם הַכֹּל נִתַּן), and there will be scarcity (וְהָיוּ בְּיוֹקֶר), and to the one going out and to the one coming in there is no peace (וְלַיּוֹצֵא וְלַבָּא אֵין שָׁלוֹם), as it is said: (Zechariah 8:10) (שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר: וּלַיּוֹצֵא וְלַבָּא אֵין שָׁלוֹם). And men of faith are gathered in (וּבַעֲלֵי אֱמוּנָה נֶאֱסָפִין), and immediately the Mashiach is revealed (וּמִיָּד מָשִׁיחַ נִגְלֶה).
