Chapter 7, Section 1 (פֶּרֶק ז׳ אוֹת א׳)

1. He took hold of me and seated me in his lap (א תָּפַשְׂנִי וְהוֹשִׁיבַנִי בְּחֵיקוֹ), he said to me: what do you see? (אָמַר לִי: מָה אַתָּה רוֹאֶה). I said to him: I see seven lightnings that run as one (אָמַרְתִּי לוֹ: אֲנִי רוֹאֶה שִׁבְעָה בְּרָקִים שֶׁהֵם רָצִים כְּאֶחָד). He said to me: my son, cover your eyes so that you will not tremble (אָמַר לִי: בְּנִי, כְּבֹשׁ עֵינֶיךָ שֶׁלֹּא תִּזָּעֵעַ), for they have gone out to greet David (שֶׁיָּצְאוּ לִקְרַאת דָּוִד). Immediately all the Ofanim and Seraphim and Holy Living Creatures trembled (מִיָּד רָגְשׁוּ כָּל הָאוֹפַנִּים וְשְׂרָפִים וְחַיּוֹת הַקֹּדֶשׁ), and the storehouses of snow, and the clouds of glory, and constellations and stars, and ministering angels, and those who blaze in the Zevul (וְאוֹצְרוֹת שֶׁלֶג וַעֲנַנֵּי כָבוֹד וּמַזָּלוֹת וּכְוכָבִים וּמַלְאֲכֵי הַשָּׁרֵת וּלְהוּטֵי זְבוּל), and they were saying: “For the conductor, a psalm of David: The heavens declare…” (וְאוֹמְרִים: לַמְנַצֵּחַ מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִד, הַשָּׁמַיִם מְסַפְּרִים וגו׳) - (Psalms 19:1). And I heard a sound of roaring coming from Eden And David, King of Yisrael, was at the head (וְדָוִד מֶלֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל בָּרֹאשׁ), and all the kings of the House of David after him (וְכָל מַלְכֵי בֵית דָּוִד אַחֲרָיו), and each and every one his crown on his head (וְכָל אֶחָד וְאֶחָד כִּתְרוֹ בְּרֹאשׁוֹ), and the crown of David was distinguished and more excellent than all the crowns (וְכִתְרוֹ שֶׁל דָּוִד מֻבְחָק וּמְשֻׁבָּח מִכָּל הַכְּתָרִים), and his radiance extended from one end of the world to the other (וְזִיוּוֹ הוֹלֵךְ מִסּוֹף הָעוֹלָם וְעַד סוֹפוֹ).
