Chapter 8, Section 3 (פֶּרֶק ח׳ אוֹת ג׳)

3. Suri’a, Prince of the Presence, my friend, told me (ג שַׂח לִי סוּרִי״א שַׂר הַפָּנִים יְדִידִי): “I will tell you what the pure splendor, the radiant light, Oriyahm Hashem God of Yisrael did” (אוֹמֵר לְךָ מַה עָשָׂה הֲדַר טָהוֹר זִיו הֲדַר אוֹרִיָּה״ם ה׳ אֱלֹקֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל), and some say Ohiyahm Hashem God of Yisrael (וְאִית דְּאָמְרִי אוֹהִיֵּהִי״ם ה׳ אֱלֹקֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל). At that time He commanded me (בְּאוֹתָהּ שָׁעָה צִוַּנִי), and I descended (וְיָרַדְתִּי), and I pushed Lupinus Caesar from his palace in which he slept that night (וְדָחַפְתִּי אֶת לוּפִינוּס קֵיסָר מֵהֵיכָלוֹ שֶׁהָיָה יָשֵׁן בּוֹ בַּלַּיְלָה), and I brought him into a house of swine and dogs (וְהוֹלַכְתִּי אוֹתוֹ בְּבֵית לֶקֶט חֲזִירִים וּכְלָבִים). And I brought in Rabbi Chanina ben Teradyon (וְהִכְנַסְתִּי אֶת רַבִּי חֲנִינָא בֶן תְּרַדְיוֹן), and led him into the palace of Lupinus Caesar (וְהוֹלַכְתִּי אוֹתוֹ בְּהֵיכָלוֹ שֶׁל לוּפִינוּס קֵיסָר). The next day the executioners came (לְמָחֳרָת בָּאוּ הַהוֹרְגִים), for they had been commanded concerning Rabbi Chanina ben Teradyon (עַל שֶׁנִּצְטַוּוּ עַל רַבִּי חֲנִינָא בֶן תְּרַדְיוֹן), to say: “Wonders he sits and performs in the House of Study” (לוֹמַר: נִפְלָאוֹת יוֹשֵׁב וְעוֹשֶׂה בְּבֵית הַמִּדְרָשׁ), and he sits and teaches Torah to the mighty ones of Yisrael (וְיוֹשֵׁב וּמְלַמֵּד תּוֹרָה לְאַבִּירֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל). They severed his head (הֵתִיזוּ אֶת רֹאשׁוֹ), and to them Lupinus Caesar appeared like Rabbi Chanina ben Teradyon (וְנִדְמָה לָהֶם לוּפִינוּס קֵיסָר כְּרַבִּי חֲנִינָא בֶן תְּרַדְיוֹן), and they cut off his head (וְחָתְכוּ אֶת רֹאשׁוֹ).
