Keter above Chokhmah and Binah is Segolta Cholem above Tzeirei (חֹלֵ״ם עַל צֵרִ״י). Segol is the point beneath Tzeirei Chesed, Gevurah, Tiferet below (חֶסֶד גְּבוּרָה, תִּפְאֶרֶת לְתַתָּא). Netzach, Hod, Yesod in the middle, which is Shuruk And so when Tiferet is in the middle, it is Shalshelet Sheva is two points, when water overpowers fire, or fire over water, or when Yesod is above Malkhut Every Sefirah, one upon another, in every place it is Sheva And the mystery of the matter: “The great luminary and the small luminary” (וְרָזָא דְמִלָּה, אֶת הַמָּאוֹר הַגָּדוֹל וְאֶת הַמָּאוֹר הַקָּטֹן) (Bereshit 1:16). When they were equal, they were Tzeirei, “the two great luminaries” (כַד אִינוּן שָׁוִין הֲווּ צֵרִ״י, אֶת שְׁנֵי הַמְּאוֹרוֹת הַגְּדוֹלִים) (Bereshit 1:16). And all the vowels are speech, and letters, “Hevel Havalim,” that depend from the Heh And they are great letters and small letters [Some say: the vowels are from Yod, surely bat kol; voices are from Vav, and they are letters and vowels] (נְקוּדִין מִיו״ד בַּת קוֹל וַדַּאי, קָלִין אִינוּן מִן ו׳, וְאִינוּן אַתְוָון וְנְקוּדִין). And the Ta’amim [cantillation marks] are included among them [Some say: The vowels are clothed in water, on the right, as it is said: “One who desires to become wise should turn southward”] (נ״א נְקוּדִין מִתְלַבְּשִׁין בְּמַיָּא בִימִינָא, דְּאִתְּמַר הָרוֹצֶה לְהַחְכִּים יַדְרִים). The letters are from the two Hehs The vowels are from the Yod The Ta’amim [cantillation marks] are from the Vav

The vowels are clothed in water, on the right, concerning which it is said: “One who desires to become wise should turn southward” (נְקוּדִין מִתְלַבְּשָׁן בְּמַיָּא בִימִינָא, דְאִתְּמַר בֵּיהּ הָרוֹצֶה לְהַחְכִּים יַדְרִים). The letters are clothed in fire, on the left, and concerning them it is said: “The voice of Hashem hews flames of fire”—these are the Havalim [vanities] (אַתְוָון מִתְלַבְּשִׁין בְּאֶשָּׁא בִּשְׂמָאלָא, וַעֲלַיְיהוּ אִתְּמַר קוֹל יהו״ה חוֹצֵב לַהֲבוֹת אֵשׁ, דְּאִינוּן הֲבָלִים). The Ta’amim [cantillation marks] are clothed in the air, in the middle, and the Ta’amim [cantillation marks] are from the side of Keter [Crown] (טַעֲמֵי מִתְלַבְּשָׁן בְּאַוִּירָא בְּאֶמְצָעִיתָא, וְטַעֲמֵי אִינוּן מִסִּטְרָא דְכֶתֶר). And the vowels are from the side of Chokhmah And the letters are from the side of Binah And they are clothed in water, fire, and Ruach, which are Chesed, Gevurah, Tiferet And so they are clothed in Netzach, Hod, Yesod Malkhut is the vessel of them all, included of them all

She is the mouth, from which vanities go forth, and voices, and words, all included within her And she is the heart, that in her all are included And from her go forth the beatings of Ruach to all the branches of the arm When Ruach beats upon the water, which is the right side, it is said of it: “The voice of my beloved knocks: Open to me, my sister” (כַד רוּחָא דָפִיק בְּמַיָּא דְאִיהוּ לִימִינָא, אִתְּמַר בֵּיהּ קוֹל דּוֹדִי דוֹפֵק פִּתְחִי לִי אֲחוֹתִי) (Song of Songs 5:2). Of her it is said: “Say to Chokhmah: You are my sister” (לְהַהִיא דְאִתְּמַר בָּהּ אֱמוֹר לַחָכְמָה אֲחוֹתִי אָתְּ) (Proverbs 7:4). And when it beats upon the left, which is fire, it is said of her: “My companion” (וְכַד דָּפִיק לִשְׂמָאלָא דְאִיהִי אֶשָּׁא, אִתְּמַר בָּהּ רַעִיָתִי). In which are kindled many flames, which are Seraphim Of them it is said: “Its flames are flames of fire, a flame of Yah” (דְּאִתְּמַר בְּהוֹן רְשָׁפֶיהָ רִשְׁפֵּי אֵשׁ שַׁלְהֶבֶת יָ״הּ) (Song of Songs 8:6).

From the side of the middle pillar: “My dove, My perfect one” (מִסִּטְרָא דְעַמּוּדָא דְאֶמְצָעִיתָא יוֹנָתִי תַמָּתִי), because this is the level of Ya'akov, of whom it is said: “And Ya'akov was a simple man” (בְּגִין דְּאִיהִי דַרְגָּא דְיַעֲקֹב דְאִתְּמַר בֵּיהּ וְיַעֲקֹב אִישׁ תָּם) (Bereshit 25:27). And his beatings are there in balance, neither ascending nor descending When in water it descends toward the Tzaddik, the flowings go to him in extension, and it ascends in him in the extension of Tekiah In fire, its beatings are Shevarim, in breaking And in the middle pillar it descends [some say: it holds] in both, Shalshelet, intermediate, and this is Teruah A “still small voice” toward the lower Shekhinta: “My perfect one,” simple, that beating which they bring to her in whisper And when Shekhinta is in exile, it is said of her: “I sleep, but my heart is awake” (וְכַד שְׁכִינְתָּא אִיהִי בְגָלוּתָא אִתְּמַר בָּהּ אֲנִי יְשֵׁנָה וְלִבִּי עִר) (Song of Songs 5:2). When she sleeps, there is in her no beating, because Kudsha Berikh Hu, who is her beating voice, has withdrawn from her

This is what is written: “I was mute with silence, I held my peace even from good” (הֲדָא הוּא דִכְתִיב נֶאֱלַמְתִּי דוּמִיָּה הֶחֱשֵׁתִי מִטּוֹב) (Psalms 39:3). Why was I mute? From Y-H, which is silence, hinted in Elohim For this is the thirty-two Elohim of Ma‘aseh Bereshit Which beats the Ruach of holiness, of which it is said: “And the Ruach of Elohim” (דְדָפִיק רוּחָא דְקוּדְשָׁא דְאִתְּמַר בֵּיהּ וְרוּחַ אלהי״ם) (Bereshit 1:2). Because “I held my peace even from good,” which is the voice At that time the Daughter, the Yechidah, remained without voice And because of this there is no Bat Kol in exile And because there is no Bat Kol in exile, it is brought to her in whisper And because of this, prayer is in whisper Even though many mysteries are here, seventy faces are to Orayta And at that time she has no beating, which is like the vowels marked by the beating of the fingers, which are ten, by which the beating of Ruach is marked And they are marked in the strings of the harp of David The beating is like the sound that ascends in melody Corresponding to the ten beatings that Asiyah contemplates in beating, David made ten kinds of melodies in Tehillim Four of them are: “My sister, My companion, My dove, My perfect one,” corresponding to YHVH (Song of Songs 5:2). Ten beatings corresponding to Yod Heh Vav Heh The beating goes forth from the left ear of the heart And this is the northern wind that would blow in the harp of David, which would play of itself And all the branches and veins of the body, which are beating, are from the heart; they are beating [some say: were beating] (וְכָל עַרְקִין וּוָרִידֵי גוּפָא דְאִינוּן דָּפְקִין, מִלִּבָּא אִינוּן [נ״א הֲוָה] דָּפְקִין). And the mystery of the matter: “Wherever the Ruach was to go, there they would go” (וְרָזָא דְמִלָּה אֶל אֲשֶׁר יִהְיֶה שָּׁמָּה הָרוּחַ לָלֶכֶת יֵלֵכוּ) (Ezekiel 1:12).
