At that time she praised Him: “As the apple tree among the trees of the forest, so is my beloved among the sons…” And afterward he entered the garden and brought forth from there pomegranates And he gave to her from the juice of the pomegranates And he gathered a nut and broke its shells And he gave to her the inner brain, and she ate And she drank from the juice of the pomegranates and was healed And this is what the verse says: “To the nut garden I descended” (Song of Songs 6:11) Meanwhile, behold the eagle was coming - the great eagle with great wings (אַדְהָכִי הָא נִשְׁרָא קָא אַתְיָא, הַנֶּשֶׁר הַגָּדוֹל בַּעַל הַכְּנָפַיִם), and she gave three cries and ascended to the mountains (וִיהִיבַת תְּלַת קָלִין, וּסְלִיקַת לְטוּרִין).

Rabbi Shimon said to his friends: Surely will is found above, and mercy is found towards the Shekhinta and Yisrael in exile For surely three living beings are in the Merkava: lion, ox, eagle (דְּוַדַּאי תְּלַת חֵיוָון אִינוּן בְּמֶרְכַּבְתָּא, אַרְיֵה שׁוֹר נֶשֶׁר), and in all of them there is no mercy like the eagle (וּבְכֻלְּהוּ לֵית רַחֲמִים כַּנִּשְׁרָא). And because of this He said to Yisrael: “And I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Me” (Exodus 19:4) Meanwhile, behold the eagle came to them again (אַדְהָכִי הָא נִשְׁרָא קָא אַתְיָא לְגַבַּיְיהוּ זִמְנָא אָחֳרָא), and she struck with her wings upon them (וּבָטְשַׁת בְּגַדְפָהָא עֲלַיְיהוּ), and she raised cries and ascended to the mountain (וְרָמַת קָלִין וְסָלִיק לְטוּרָא). Rabbi Shimon said: Surely it is she who struck with her wings upon us and ascended there They said to him: Ascend, and behold, we are after you They all ascended after him to the mountain (סְלִיקוּ כֻּלְּהוּ אַבַּתְרֵיהּ לְטוּרָא), and she ascended above until she was not seen (וְאִיהִי סְלִיקַת לְעִילָא, עַד דְּלָא אִתְחֲזִיאַת).

At that moment, behold, the dove came (לְפוּם שַׁעִתָּא הָא נִשְׁרָא קָא אַתְיָא), and two roses were in her mouth (וּתְרֵין שׁוֹשַׁנִּים בְּפוּמָהָ), and she cast them upon their heads (וְזָרִיק לוֹן עַל רֵישַׁיְיהוּ), upon her hand (ידהא) [Some say: upon his hand (נ״א: עַל יְדוֹי)], immediately Rabbi Shimon rejoiced greatly (מִיָּד חָדָא רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן חֶדְוָה סַגִּיא), he said to them, Companions, surely joy has been summoned toward the Shekhinta who is sick (אָמַר לוֹן חַבְרַיָּא בְּוַדַּאי חֶדְוָה אִזְדַּמְנַת לְגַבֵּי שְׁכִינְתָּא דְאִיהִי חוֹלָה). For behold, if one rose had been given among us, it would not have been a healing (דְּהָא אִם שׁוֹשַׁנָּה חֲדָא יְהִיב בֵּינָנָא לָא הֲוָה אַסְוָותָא), because the roses hint toward the First House and the Second (בְּגִין דְּשׁוֹשַׁנִּים אִינוּן רְמִיזִין לָקֳבֵל בַּיִת רִאשׁוֹן וְשֵׁנִי), for the words of Kudsha Berikh Hu are that this one cannot enter without the other (דְּאוֹמֵי קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא דְלָא יֵעוּל דָּא בְּלָא דָא). And because two were cast, the hint of these two roses (וּבְגִין דִּזְרִיקַת תְּרֵין, רְמִיזַת דָּא תְּרֵי שׁוֹשַׁנִּים), now it is a complete healing (כְּעַן אִיהִי אַסְוָותָא שְׁלֵימָתָא), and then it is necessary to open upon them as we were (וּכְדֵין צָרִיךְ לְמִפְתַּח עֲלַיְיהוּ כְּמָה דַהֲוִינָן).

Rabbi Shimon opened and said: I am for my Beloved and my Beloved is for me, Who feeds among the roses (Song of Songs 6:3) What are roses? Rather, the supernal rose, the supernal Shekhinta (מַאי שׁוֹשַׁנִּים אֶלָּא שׁוֹשַׁנָּה עִלָּאָה שְׁכִינְתָּא עִלָּאָה), and she is the recitation of Shema of the morning (וְאִיהִי קְרִיאַת שְׁמַע דְּשַׁחֲרִית), and the second rose is the recitation of Shema of the evening, the lower Shekhinta (וְשׁוֹשַׁנָּה תִּנְיָינָא קְרִיאַת שְׁמַע דְּעַרְבִית שְׁכִינְתָּא תַּתָּאָה). This one is to the right (דָא לִימִינָא), and this one to the left (וְדָא לִשְׂמָאלָא). “Who feeds among the roses”-this is the middle pillar And the supernal rose of the recitation of Shema of the morning, which is morning, the right side of Avraham (וְשׁוֹשַׁנָּה עִלָּאָה דִקְרִיאַת שְׁמַע דְּשַׁחֲרִית, דְּאִיהוּ בֹּקֶר יְמִינָא דְאַבְרָהָם), has five leaves (אִית לֵיהּ חָמֵשׁ טַרְפִין). And these are “Hear O Yisrael Hashem Elokeinu Hashem” (Deuteronomy 6:4) And thirteen petals inside of “Echad” (וּתְלַת עֲשַׂר עַלִּין מִלְּגָו אֶחָד), six red and six white (שִׁית סוּמְקֵי, וְשִׁית חִוְורֵי), and the rose that is included in them, behold thirteen, as one calculation (וְשׁוֹשַׁנָּה דְּאִתְכְּלִילַת בְּהוֹן הָא תְּלַת עִשֶׂר כְּחוּשְׁבַּן אֶחָד). And so, in the rose, are twenty-five seeds, like its apple, as the calculation of the twenty-five letters of the unification And so, in the second rose, are twenty-five seeds (וְכֵן בַּשּׁוֹשַׁנָּה תִּנְיָינָא כ״ה גַרְעִינִין), and all ascend to fifty (וְסָלְקִין כֻּלְּהוּ לַחֲמִשִּׁים). The rose among the thorns-this is “In the beginning, He created” (Bereshit 1:1) And this is Bereishit: [The letter] Bet [is] the Rose, [the letter] Yod [is the center] (וְדָא בְּרֵאשִׁית ב׳ שׁוֹשַׁנָּה י׳).

The Twenty-Sixth Tikkun

“Bereshit” the second “rose” (בְּרֵאשִׁית ב׳ שׁוֹשַׁנָּה), her five leaves are “Reshit” (חָמֵשׁ עַלִּין דִּילָהּ רֵאשִׁי״ת). “Bereshit” in the small calculation of Chanokh is thirteen Her thorns are thirteen words, from “Elohim” until “Elohim” (חוֹחִים דִּילָהּ תְּלַת עֲשַׂר תֵּיבִין מִן אֱלֹהִי״ם וְעַד אֱלֹהִי״ם). And these are they (וְאִלֵּין אִינוּן): “the heavens and the earth. And the earth was tohu and vohu, and darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the spirit of Elohim” (Bereshit 1:1) Five other thorns are: “hovering over the face of the waters, and He said” (Bereshit 1:2)
