Chapter Two (פֶּרֶק שֵׁנִי)

This vacant space is square (הַמָּקוֹם הַפָּנוּי הַזֶּה הוּא מְרוּבָּע), and it is called Air because it is the first of all airs (וְנִקְרָא אוּוִיר לִהְיוֹת שֶׁהוּא רִאשׁוֹן לְכָל הָאֲוִירִים), thus it is so called (נִקְרָא כָּךְ), and it is called in the Zohar Avirah Kadma’ah or Reshimu Ila’ah (וְנִקְרָא בַּזֹּהַר: אוּוִירָא קַדְמָאָה אוֹ רִשִּׁימוּ עִילָּאָה). And since the light of the Garment - its primary light is from the Name Havayah with its four fillings (וּמִפְּנֵי שֶׁאוֹר הַמַּלְבּוּשׁ, עִיקָּר אוֹרוֹ הוּא מִשֵּׁם הוי״ה בְּד׳ מִלּוּאָיו), from which is the root of the foundational corner of the four worlds Atzilut, Beri’ah, Yetzirah, Asiyah (אֲשֶׁר מִמֶּנּוּ שֹׁרֶשׁ פִּנַּת עִיסַּת ד׳ עוֹלָמוֹת אבי״ע), corresponding to the four letters of the Name (כְּנֶגֶד ד׳ אוֹתִיּוֹתָיו), and the upper tip corresponds to the Worlds of Ein Sof (וְהַקּוֹץ הָעֶלְיוֹן הוּא כְּנֶגֶד עוֹלָמוֹת אֵין סוֹף), and from the four letters extend the four fillings: A"B, S"G, M"H, B"N (וּמִן הַד׳ אוֹתִיּוֹת מִתְפַּשְּׁטִים ד׳ מִלּוּאִים: ע״ב, ס״ג, מ״ה, ב״ן), from which the worlds Atzilut, Beri’ah, Yetzirah, Asiyah were created (אֲשֶׁר מֵהֶם נִבְרְאוּ הָעוֹלָמוֹת אבי״ע), therefore it is square (לָכֵן הוּא מְרוּבָּע).
