Mishnah 8 (מִשְׁנָה ח׳)

Parokhot [Veils] of gold, seven (פָּרוֹכוֹת שֶׁל זָהָב ז׳), into which were worked twelve thousand talents of gold (שֶׁנִּכְנַס בָּהֶם י״ב אֲלָפִים כִּכְּרֵי זָהָב). And the garments of the Levi'im and their belts (וּלְבוּשֵׁי הַלְוִיִּם וַאֲבְנֵטֵיהֶם), twelve thousand garments (י״ב אֶלֶף מַלְבּוּשִׁים). And the Ephod [Priestly Apron] of the Kohen Gadol [High Priest], in which he ministered (וְאֵפוֹד שֶׁל כֹּהֵן גָּדוֹל שֶׁהָיָה מְשָׁרֵת בָּהֶן), and his Me'il [Robe], apart from the garments of the Kohanim (וּמְעִילוֹ חוּץ מִמַּלְבּוּשֵׁי הַכֹּהֲנִים), seventy thousand (ע׳ אֶלֶף). And their belts, and their turbans, and their breeches (וַאֲבְנֵטֵיהֶם וּמִצְנְפֵיהֶם וּמִכְנְסֵיהֶם). All these David made for them, for favor upon Israel (כָּל אֵלּוּ שֶׁעָשָׂה דָּוִד לָהֶם לְרָצוֹן עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל), and the righteous ones took them (וְלָקְחוּם הַכְּשֵׁרִים), through the secret that was revealed to them concerning all this service (בְּסוֹד שֶׁנִּתְגַּלָּה לָהֶם כָּל הַתַּשְׁמִישׁ הַזֶּה), that they might be in the future for favor upon Israel (לִהְיוֹתָם לָעֲתִיד לְרָצוֹן עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל).
